Stamford, CT Scene?
Hey guys so I just moved to Stamford for work from NyC. I don't want to commute so I just moved here.
I am from the Detroit area on the Canadian side and moved to NYC a year ago and now to Stamford.
IS there any EDM scene here? Any local djs? Would love to meet up with some at local spots. I am starting to regret moving here. It seems like a dry town.

There really isn't much of an EDM scene at all. It's more of a bar city, and they close at 2 am. And I think they stop selling liquor at stores at 10pm. I have a few friends that live up there, so when I go visit them it's basically bar hopping. I think there is one club, but I forget the name because they are constantly changing names.
I was there last week at Butterfield 8, and what I did notice they were playing a lot less rap. Probably due to the rise of EDM popularity.
A lot of people drive down to White Plains because it closes at 4am. A bunch of the bar at White Plain/Stamford are owned by the same owner. But only do that if you have a designated driver because those White Plains cops are always on the hunt.
The Grand has House DJ's sometimes.
joyride im from Trumbull which is about 15-20 mins from stamford. Theres not a huge scene. Your best bet it to hop on the train and go into the city! I LOVE DETROIT!!! DEMF!!
Everything closes early here but youve got grand, butterfield, park ,
PM and I give you more names
coley
Connecticut sucks. Being a trance/progressive DJ here is like applying for jobs as an Evolutionary Biologist in Mississippi.
I go to NYC as often as possible for shows. It gets kinda expensive when you have to tack on a $40 transportation bill to every single event you wanna go to, but it's worth it.
