+1

Fail. Ah well. I hope they don't raise prices again next year. DEMF used to be free!! $40 had been pretty standard for a long time too..

Lol yea the private, cleaner bathrooms thing is key for me

I will keep it in mind, though i'm thinking that DEMF is prob a no go for me this year. I already have a few other trips planned for the new year so DEMF will prob be a last minute decision for me, if anything.

$60 is still far from a deal breaker considering E-zoo is like $270!

Posted by PoLskA on Dec-03-2011 22:10:

heres hoping higher costs to us means possibly a larger headlining act...

my secret hope is w Daft Punk touring next year... that they close out DEMF...

Posted by geroin on Dec-03-2011 23:44:

i got my demf ticket last year for 60 bucks

They gave out a healthy amount of drink tickets that year... I was a proper mess.

maybe that will change as demf gets closer...

Purchased!! Last Year was my First Year and i know people always say the Cliche Line of "Life Changing" but in All Honesty this Festival really was unlike any other and I have been to Miami and Electric Zoo and other Festivals....This Festival Takes the Cake!! reason Why? I feel as if DEMF has the most Passion put into it, yes it has somewhat of teh Corporate Feel because it has too but it is dare i say "Minimal" haha Counting the Days!!!

Kind of on the fence about this. One thing is for sure though, is that there is no way I'm ever staying at the Marriott Ren Cen again. Fuck that place!

No, because I booked 2 double beds in January, and they did the ol' switcheroo to a single King bed because they "ran out" of double Queens. I was informed of this when I arrived. This was especially infuriating given that I was probably one of the first people to book a hotel for this festival.

Their only solution was that the third person was to sleep on the floor. They refused to even offer us a discount. "We can provide you with some extra linen" was their suggestion. It took a 15-20 minutes shouting match with various levels of management until they finally gave us a 2nd room free of charge. Even though we did get a 2nd room free of charge in the end, I was disgusted that they were going to screw us over like that with absolutely no concessions. The only reason why we got that room is because I refused to stand down until they found a solution.

Given the fact that we were searched at the border, I was already stressed out, and by the time I dealt with this situation at the front desk, I was just livid. This is not the kind of treatment repeat, paying customers should be given, especially in the hospitality industry.

When I go on vacation, I want a comfortable, stress-free experience. At the Ren Cen, given the volume of guests they have during this time, and the fact that they usually sell out, they simply treat their customers like cattle on Memorial Day Weekend.
