I'm not a huge beatles fan, but its simply impossible to question their value- They've probably had the biggest influence on (popular) music out of anyone ever. Listening to them now they might not sound that great, but its because their influence is so ubiquitous that so much that has been made since then is basically advancing on what they started.

If you don't like beatles you don't like guitar-based music, or pop music basically

Led Zeppelin have never had a number one single because Led Zeppelin didn't release singles. They did sell 300 million albums though, which is approximately 280 million more than Rihanna.

Eh, no. I like some bands with guitars just fine, but never felt any connection to The Beatles. I don't hate them, I just don't like them.

And this list is silly comparing physical media sales to the much cheaper mp3 alternative. There are also many more humans consuming at this point also. Obvious, I know, but, well I dunno, just wanted to say it I guess.

They are one of those things that society demands you must like.

If you say you don't like them people give you funny looks and the "WHAATT?? , how can you not like the beatles??", but deep down they also know the beatles are crap and too afraid to admit it.
