Tips for using your own waveforms?

So I ended up having to sell a piece of gear, but there were a couple voices I wanted to save from it. I tracked out C at different octaves and I'm looking to load the samples into a software instrument. Anyone have any experience doing this? The sounds are pads so the waveform will need to loop seamlessly. I'm using Logic and I'm pretty sure EXS24 is my best bet.

That has a lot of features but the few times I tried it, the interface made me want to stab my eyes out with a rusty spoon just to take the pain away.

Sampletank is great but EXS does everything you need.

Also, if you google loop samples exs you'll find a ton of guides but the tricky bit is going to be setting the loop point for the pad to catch it at the right moment (or phrasing) so it doesn't sound off. It's a play it by ear thing I'm afraid.

I've got not experience with ESX, did you also try the shortcircuit2? it's a bit easier on the eye than v1?

Looks like shortcircuit is windows only...?

i recently started doing lots of scripting on libraries. Really opens up what you can do.
As far as the batch sampling bit. there are a few programs out there i remember using.

Extremesampler or something like that for pc. Basically, i just plotted the midi with room for silence. set the parameters to cut the audio. That way, you can sample chromatically.

Thank christ I thought I was going to have to do all that manually

Got the first one down.. this is actually really easy and intuitive with ESX24.
