He tweeted a few days ago that he might switch to Studio One.

can someone point me to a track you would consider his best work. His latest Papillon was kinda hilarious. I mean i hear that track and then see this midi controller that costs 12 000 and well it is funny.

Love his WOW remix, for me this is one of his best productions to date.

looney hes probably not going to impress you, you hold scott project in such high regards after-all(cock-goblin). he is pretty consistent and has a lot of good tracks that sound high quality that feature super clean sound design.

i like scot project. He invented a genre. I don't think he is god. But this is a trance forum, and as far as trance goes, yes I think he is one of the better producers. I can dedicate an entire thread dissecting some of his tracks and explaining why he is good. But to use that as some sort of way to undermine my taste well

here is the thing.

for the last 200 years, i can pretty much name relevant music down to the decade. For the last 50 years i can tell you the most influential musicians on every instrument. For the last 100 years, i can tell you about the most influential conductors, I can tell you about the most influential soloists. The point is that my opinions unlike many here come from a very very very large pool of music. I've heard everything. I 've played everything. There is not one genre you could mention and stump me. I even know country for fuck sakes. Yep, I can name 5 slide guitar players off the top of my head.

There are reasons I like scot project. I have studied more music than you will listen to in a lifetime. So it kinda annoys me when you make those silly sideswipes that when you look at it are kinda stupid. I dont' have a stock in scot project. He was one of the most influential producers in trance since 2000. He created a genre, pretty much set the path for another, never plays it safe and has been relevant for the last decade and i don't see why you have to pick on him if you want to get at me. I get it that people don't like trance that is a little harder. That is fine. You don't like the genre. I get it. But honestly, if you are going to make fun of me, do it right.

listen i dont care, and i dont care for your life story i know someone way more successful and talented than you works at lucas studios and gets flown all over, and guess what, he doesnt hide behind his computer like a twit.

this is a trance forum, but if you actually looked through music discussion, the dj promotion, you will know this isnt a forum exclusive to trance, most people outgrew the pop infested genre. and yes i do like trance, thanks. so keep saying this guy's work in hilarious, im sure you can do so much better.

haven't spoken with Eelke for quite a while now but apart from liking hardware I believe he invests a lot of money on controllers to battle his RSI symptoms and to improve workflow. Eelke is genuinely one of the nicest guys i've come across. Open, patient, intelligent and talented. I envy how strongly recognisable his sound has gotten and how he is able to create a name for himself to sustain an interesting music career to make a living out of and to collect a brilliant studio setup. There's much more to this guy than (prog) house music. Think advertisement, tv shows etc.

Was gonna say how the fuck he afford all that off a producers salary.

I think most of it is there because of his dj income. Can't confirm it though, we kind of lost touch some time ago. He's very busy

I've known Eelke since the days of MIDOR and Cloud City. Anyone remember that? He helped me early on when I was just starting out. One of the nicest guy's as other's have already mentioned. It is amazing to see how far he has come. I'm happy to see people like Eelke succeed.

I realize now I should have typed MIDOR and Six4Eight. Eelke was Six4Eight in this duo that put out a lot of great tracks way back when.

i just found that controller i little overkill when hearing his music. that isn't to judge the music, it just doesn't really have that much manipulation in sound that would make you think something like that would really help. But fuck , if you have the money. The problem with me is that i would need 2. I have this issue with symmetry. I even buy clothing in 2s. alas only 1 girlfriend.

First time i heard of that controller, and was excited to hear what one would do with it, and well, i don't think he really uses it in the way it could be used. Thats all.

Something that required live modulating but i could find a single track with sounds were parameters were being automated in a manner that required e such a tool would pay off. also, his stuff is pretty minimal. I would think most people did not neet access to such little information. I mean if he was using 80 automation traks, 100 channels, 4 layers of bussing ..... Anyways this is a tupped argument.

Put it doesn't really matter. People don't need a 60 inch big screen tv.
