help me buy a new car COR

i have approx $4000AU. that's about 2,000,000,000 pesos or $25,000 USD.

i don't really care about looks or useless shit like its torque or top speed. im more concerned about reliability and fuel efficiency. i will drive a girl's car if i have to.

for comparison, this is what i just sent to the wreckers:

i know fuck all about cars except that they hurt when you crash them.

25k USD ???

fuck, off.
thanx for coming.

I got my new 2012 Nissan Altima for $18k. If you are looking for fuel efficiency and reliability, try out the new Toyota Camry. You can get that for around $20k or so.

This should get interesting.

Who do you think I am, Krypton?

4000 Australian dollars apparently = 3957.6000 US dollars

I thought you all had a good economy.

Idk, get an old Honda Civic. Those are relatively reliable and cheap.

You know that new cars like that depreciate in value once you drive them off the lot, right?

Why not just get an overstock of the 2011 for a lot cheaper?

You can get a decent 2nd hand 911 for $25K..... but if your main priorities are reliability and efficiency, get a Ford Mondeo or something.

Although, I have no idea what kind of cars are on the market over there....

Posted by VAR on Dec-15-2011 00:06:

i have bought a few very nice and reliable vehicles for an easy 10k USD:
un-expected pregnancies,
blackmail attempts,
etc.

No shit. But with the deals they were cutting at the time, it would have been ridiculous to take a model year older to pay the same monthly price and sell it for even less in 5 years. It's also handy to have the dealership cover a lot of maintenance after you buy.

Porches are actually very reliable & decent on gas for the hp.
