Smiley DJ Sensation America 2012 - Finally!

Just saw this posted in twitter. Apparently they have finally decided to bring Sensation to America and from what I can gather in the comments of the video it says: More about the WHEN's and WHERE's will be announced in March. Hopefully Miami is one of those Where's!

This will be cool

Assuming they are not saying America ( The continent because Sensation is already taking place in places like Chile and other parts .. ) for my selfish sake it would be cool for it to take place in LA hehe.. but either way interested to see what they bring, hopefully they can teach a festival or two in the states how to do a festival

Finally someone to compete with Insomniac.

FUCK YEA!

Wow...

My first gut feel is that it would be awesome in Vegas.

Where ever it is... we'll be there. Been wanting to go for years..

my thoughts exactly.

correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't the Sensation events usually SINGLE stage parties thrown in giant stadiums or Arenas?

Yup. Which begs the question, what arenas are big enough for these events or are they going to shrink the venue size for Sensation America?

Yeah, but didn't you guys lose EDC because your city hates EDM?

Holy freakin Crap!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its about damn time!! I def wanna try to go to this

Posted by PatMcGroin on Dec-27-2011 17:50:

if its the same lineup they have at every other damn sensation then im sorry but it wont be worth it at the huge price point theyll probably place this at. oh and i bet all those beautiful lasers they showed in the videos wont be there either.

im glad to see theyre finally bringing it over here but god damn i wish it would of been someone like qdance instead of id&t. also, about 7 years too damn late.

regardless if it wasnt too ridiculous pricewise i think i would still suck it up and go. after all its gotta be a good party right?

curious to see where theyll try this at. nyc, la, vegas, miami are really the only logical choices right?

Posted by OttoLuminosity on Dec-28-2011 23:16:

yeah sensation has lost its credit for sure.....
It was something unique but nowadays with all other great parties its just a party with an insane price and house djs'...

Posted by tz1988 on Dec-31-2011 18:36:

i don't think the price will be too crazy. For the Europe sensation parties its 55 euros, which is about $71. Who knows though, similar parties like EDC and ultra fest are a few hundred dollars but those are for events that last a few days, where as sensation is a one day thing. Either way i can't see the price of it being more than maybe $150 tops. And i am sure they will do the show with the same quality as they do in Europe. They cancelled the Australian sensation because some things got in the way them being able to do the show to their standards, which means they probably won't do an american sensation unless its going to be as good as any of their other sensation parties. On their website they say "More about the whens and wheres will be announced in March". I'm assuming sense they didn't say "when and where" that they are planning on having more than one sensation in the U.S./North America. I'd imagine they would probably have one on the east coast in NYC or Miami, and one on the west coast in California or Vegas.
