has anyone heard any tracks from the sorta newly named trance genre called "HARDSTYLE"??? Ard und Jord is a great example...BANGING STUFF!!! people absolutly go crazy when they hear this stuff!!! Tuneboy and Technoboy produce alot of hardstyle tracks...anyone heard any? and what u think?
Lady Dana I hear is hardstyle.
I havent heard any (to my knowledge) but the name "hardstyle" sounds really vauge
Are you talking hardstyle in for of hard trance of what Dumonde produces...
Or are you talking about hard sytle in the form of techno the way Dj Wag produces.
You've got Warmduscher, Uberdruck, Drugface, Schalldruck, DJ Wag (kinda), S.H.O.K.K. (sometimes), Klinisch Tot; Schwarze Puppen, Transformer, Hennes And Cold, Kenji Ogura and erm Asys (although he comes very close to acid, same for Kenji).
I think it has surfaced because Hard Trance got overflooded with productions that began to sound thinner and hollower. It's a sort of hybrid between hard techno and hard trance
Hardstyle is trance genre where the bass and especially the subbass is really heavy and contains sometimes acid sounds. You don't have to play it loud to realise that it bangs, but play it loud and feel how it makes everything tremble
Warmduscher - 10 Kleine Bassdrums is a great example of it

hardstyle is one of the most popular music styles in the netherlands
(maybe even bigger than trance at the moment
Unfortunately...
It's the most basic and simple music i have ever heard but hey we all have our own style/taste.
Hardstyle is a name that is brought up by Q-Dance. It's one of the most popular styles in The Netherlands. It's slower than hardcore but music with allot of hard basses/energy. Party's whith hardstyle are Qlimax/QlubTempo and more
Download some sets of:
Dj Luna
TechnoBoy
Pavo
Dana
Not sure if this is what you mean by hardstyle, but stuff on blutonium records has been damn quality hard trance, heavy distorted beats and huge basslines fillin the gaps. Also, some of the stuff by Unix (Frank D Noise) has been quite good, like "spirit of God" and "Wild Plessure". The s.h.o.k.k. remix of back to earth and free were huge and released this week (where i am at least) was Jay Walker - Equinox (J Walker mix in particular). This track will eb huge, out on sectioned records
I guess thats exactely what niels van gogh played this weekend @ my club. Played so hard n loud that he drove most of the ppl away from the dancefloor. Standing even away from the floor, next to the bars, u felt like a vibrator since the entire area seemed to move from that bass.
He played so loud that even Lethal Industry (only "commercial" track i noticed)sounded like a gabber track
Check out :
Toolboy - Fear The Drill, its great
Drugface - **** Master, good in the beginning of a set, or something
Cheers

u gotta laff at people who have no clue about the genre still trying to teach others about it! I think its pretty obvious which do know their stuff and which dont so far
Some DJ's that use Hardstyle
Giada
Technoboy
Dana
Pavo
Yoji Biomehanika
so if u check any of their sets u'll find some of the best Hardstyle, but im personnally having trouble gettin hold of a lot of it because i can get some of the more well known ones but finding a lot of it is nigh on impossible could any1 help me there?
there's a website called Screamer Hardstyle, he has an ftp but its bloody hard to connect to, consider yourself lucky if you get a chance to download from it.
Hardstyle is absolutely wicked!! I think it would be great to mix in a hard-trance set. Hearing it in a club will blow you away!!!, its wicked to dance to also.
dont forget:
dj isaac
warmduscher (yes hardstyle)
dj angy dee
kai tracid (yes hardstyle)
hardstyle right at this moment on ID&T radio.. www.id-t.com
hell yah! id-t.com going off right now with q-dance and dj pila
i love this stuff
anyway... listen to me mamma.. *Doev Doev Doev*
Check out stuff on the Wicked and Dance Pollution labels as well.
And this thread over on the ID-T forums is full of wicked tracks...
anyone else agree that hardstyle producers HAVE to get rid of those awful, crunching, hardcore-style sounds in their tracks??

hardstyle thread.. excellent...
I'm a fan of hardstyle myself, but trance still rules my world. It seems you like it or you hate it, no road between it. I think hardstyle started to exist when alot of partypeople in holland wanted something harder on the parties.. remember alot of these peeps have a hardcore background, and were forced to go to tranceparties and stuff, which they usually found way to soft... the biggest organiser of hardstyleparties in holland, q-dance, jumped into the whole and grew ENORMOUSLY this year.. it really seems like everyone needed a style like this (allthough it existed longer).
q-dance is a subdivision of id&t(organiser of parties such as mysteryland, trance energy, sensation etc. etc.) and has a number of djs under contract.
to name a bunch: bas & ram, luna, pavo, technoboy, dana, isaac, warmduscher, gary D, sunny D, derb, hennes & cold. some say kai tracid is hardstyle too, and allthough he playes alot of banging tunes, I personally don't want to call that hardstyle (like ik ALOT though
).
the biggest hardstyle-event of the year is qlimax. the upcoming event is expected to gather 15.000 people. the great feeling of hardstyle is best expressed on a HUGE soundsystem. it REALLY makes you go ABSOLUTELY WILD!
one of the most played songs on hardstyle parties:
kai tracid - trance and acid (derb remix) (can't believe no-one mentioned this one befor, try to imagine it on full power
)
cosmic gate - the truth (dj isaac remix) ==>> just about THE best example of what hardstyle is I can come up with now
other songs I can come up with right now:
sensation - the anthem (dana remix)
giada - .... (technoboy remix)
donkey rollers - strike again
personally I think hardstyle will be dead within a year from now on, except if the producers start to be more original... since most songs are the same.. same heavy bass and stuff..
like I said, like it for 1 partynight, but definately not every week.
