-- Is TIESTO a resident anywhere?
Pages (2): [1] 2 »
I was just curious if TIESTO was a resident anywhere?
Gatecrasher, don't know where else, undoubtedly in Breda. peace.
I'm not too sure he's resident anywhere anymore. He used to be resident in some Dutch club where he started out and once he moved on he handed the reigns over to DJ Dazzle who's also an up n' comer as far as a trance dj. He has a few cd's out (haven't heard any) but heard he's hypes the crowds nicely.
The club in Breda you mean is "Spock"!
Tiesto plays every two months in the "Melkweg" in Amsterdam on the party WildLife which is organised by his own recordlabel BlackHole! Next to this I think he plays in the Crasher every now and then...
Wished he was rez in canada
(
oh how i wish
but its worth the wait to see him play
only resident in gatecrasher...In the netherlands not any club can keep him.
He is a resident of Gatecrasher
Gatecrasher has a montly residency at the infamous club that used to be a church, Limelight, NYC. Thats where Tiesto plays in NYC.
Anywayz...I think Tisto doesn't belong in a club anyway, cuz he sounds much better in a large hall! But that's my opinion about most dj's...
In a hall yu can spin much more uplifting - with those echo-ing sounds as in last year's Sensation anthem (what wa it called again...Superstrings by Cygnus X)
In a large hall I always get "goosebumbed" by those thrilling sounds, and in a club it's much more difficult to get that same atmosphere.
Agree?
sorry guys but tiesto is overrated by many people. it was just the right dj at the right time.
but anyway... he isn't a resident dj anywhere.
sayz MR. TrancEaddict in training...
LOL
I think he's had his best "years", but he's still worth listening to, and he's even (one of) the first Dutch dj ('s) to start spinning progressive! I admire that in him!
But I love Oakie, PvD as dj's! (Picotto as producer)
Tiesto is NOT OVERRATED!
Hello, why do you think that Tiesto is overrated - being a very young and local famous musician, now he is one of the most popular Dutch and all-european deejays!
Greetings,
CJ Slater
? overrated ?
Well, overrated is a big word (it's a Dutch expresion, dunno if it exists in English), but I do think that he's not all that good as evrybody says, cuz I found out that he spins the same sets most of the time! That disappointed me!
Just heard him for the 1st time...
I was in a club in Washington, D.C. on April 21st at a - I don't know how else to describe it, but I'll call it a Jam fest. 1st up was Kimball Collins for about 2 hours....then Tiesto for about 2 hours. And next up was Edgar V from Miami for about 2hrs. I had never heard any of them live before that, but I have to say I was impressed by them all...I guess none of them wanted to be outdone by the others so they most definately played their best stuff. That was the most fun I've had at one of these clubs.

why?
Why are you so agressive towards me? We have this unwritten rule here at TA that you are entitled to say what you have on your mind and that everybody respects eachothers opinion!
If you start flaming me like that, I have the tendency to start flaming you 2 - and I don't want those negative feelings to ruin my day dude
It's my opinion about tiesto, and I am not a loser that only likes a dj cuz everyone else likes them...
...so anywayz, hope you know for nxt time...

it just depends on wha new releases are out usually
alrite
yep tu_face, you're right when the "same" set is played in about two weeks, but not after about a year!
Anywayz, I like his sets just as much as you guys, but I just was a littlebit dissappointed at him at Innercity, cuz I'd expected something new! But I bet he'll get my feet of the floar again if he's at Sensation again! (god, I loved that set last year!)
excuse me..
When Timo came to town he played the EXACT same set he played on groovereadio. Im talkin every single record! now that was a little dissapointing. Wouldn't you people agree PVD plays alot of the same sets and records more than Tiesto?
I dunno. I've seen him (=PvD) spin 2 times (the last time was last night(!!!) at Marcantiplaza, the previous time at Innercity) and he played a totaly diferent set! Very progressive last night, and more trancy at Innercity...but I think it's difficult to play the same set in a hall and in a club, cuz the acoustics are too different in both "areas".
Agree?
I'll be seeing him Tonight @ Qontact
He'a going to kick ass there, I'm sure of that...
heh
I can safely say that Tiesto's best years are still coing up...but right now he is realy high up there so there isn't much more room to go higher. Although, he doesn't play at Mayday or Loveparade which are the two biggest events...he never gets invited becuase he's not good enough I guess.
