Nord drum synth?

Anybody see this on nord's website?

I wonder if it'll be announced at namm. Anybody here have some more info or heard rumours?

They already had a drumkit before. So now there's a new one coming. Obviously ;-).

I like Nord.

I nice little VA drum synth from Nord for less that 500 would be nice. Saying that, for that sort of money i'd probably buy a Maschine instead.

those drum triggers were actually the first thing they did that was popular in the early 90s.

somehow I doubt that this will be just an updated ddrum, but could be wrong.

whatever this is I bet it looks sexy

the fact that there are drum sticks , well if i were to assume the marketing team know what they are doing, well this is going to be a performance tool for drummers. I would pretty much rule out a drum synth unless it is part of the performance tool but i wouldn't put any money on them making something with the EDM producer in mind. They almost lost their shirt the last time they put too much stock in EDM. They make there money on the classics, and their stage stuff.

good call it'll probably be their answer to the Mandala pad

okay that is definitely a drum synth.

Posted by cryophonik on Jan-10-2012 17:32:

Looking at the size of the housing relative to the knob, switch, output jack, etc. it looks pretty tiny - probably not much bigger than the MicroModular.

Posted by meriter on Jan-10-2012 17:45:

What could that thing possibly do that warrants this kind of hype?

GAME-CHANGING DRUM SYNTH. CONSEQUENCES WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. NORD.

ya i honestly have no idea now. Drumsticks and then a synth looking console. I think it will be a 909/808 clone for performing drummers ie inputs for pads and such.

I think you're probably right, given the tag line. I'm guessing maybe in an Electribe-ish format?

And here it is in all its 399 RRP inc VAT glory, featuring 1 (yes ONE) audio output that is by all outward appearances a mono sum for four individual parts:

I might as well just get a Jomox Mbase 11 for less and have real analoog.

lol ok this picture is too funny.

its really meant for live performers. Not producers. I can see hipster bands all over this.
