Evil1 Does SPACE hate trance?

I've noticed that Mansion has booked: Cosmic Gate, Armin, PvD, and Cosmic Gate in the last few months. While Space last booked Gareth Emery (not counting Markus because he is a "resident").

What's going on? The Loft was completely packed during Gareth's set and we haven't seen anyone else since and probably won't until WMC. Sad...

They need to get Rank 1 and I think I will forgive them...

LP (and now Emi) has a plan that has worked for YEARS!

Space Miami books trance DJ's only when reasonable amount of enthusiasm and demand is on the table.

If you can get your own mix of locals playing, and the crowd dont give a fuck who's on the decks, why pay the big heads?

Business, big bills, dead presidents...see where I'm going?

Ask Nocturnal where their bookings went? Oh, that's right..Nocturnal is GONE!

Just go out and have a good time to random places, people have forgotten what it's like to go out, and listen to good tunes that the DJ was playing and you've never heard of him/ her

Above poster said it beautifully.

When Patrick M and Oscar G and Chus pack out Space...why pay big names like Armin and PVD?

Space only books big gigs every now and then. Louis Puig knows what he's doing!

I guess its frustrating because I'd rather drop money at Space than Mansion, but whatever I'll go where the Trance is at.

Space is largely an after hours (terrace) spot and Trance doesn't work for afterhours. This along with the fact that Trance has faded and genres like Techno, Tech house and Deeper house have come into huge popularity do to the growing underground scene.

Its very simple....Miami is basically all about House and Techno

space hates trance, we all know this

space hates spending money on talent when they can make more of a profit by have the residents spin. sucks ass but thats the bottom line.

the show was a flop, it was a house crowd and Rank1 unleased the long breakdowns and everyone was just standing still

I wish Space would bring more trance acts as well! It's my favorite club in Miami bar none. Mansion sucks! No laser lights, no strobes, no nitrous air blast, no ambiance. I'd love to see Aly & Fila, Simon Patterson, or Ronski Speed play @ Space!

Yes to all of those! Can you imagine John 00 Fleming playing at the Terrace? Oh man...

i wish it were different but each of those shows would have a terrible vibe due to the uneducated narrow minded terrace crackheads.
