Mansion Closing?

I know they are re-opening and it's only to renovate and fix things. BUT! I just notice a few of their shows have been moved to SET, more importantly Cosmic Gate... Anyone know what is going on. I hope that it's not really at SET, I may not go if that's the case.

also interested... was on their site a few days ago and everything was fine. now a big red as standard as can be "MANSION IS CLOSED" and they are moving their shows. doesnt sound like just renovating to me... although it probably is just marketing bs.

regarding set, honestly i would try emailing someone from mansion and asking. and if they're gonna run the set door like normal, then honestly i would say fuck it.

I'm actually quite pissed off. I was really looking forward to this show and now it was moved to SET. From what you and a few others have said about SET and the way it is run, I'm not sure if I want to waste my time there. I guess I'll mull it over the next week or so to see if I REALLY want to go that badly...

robbie is playing next month, said hes at mansion, would think he would have posted the correct venue if not the case.

I wish but they are closed as in renovating and they have posted Cosmic Gate as playing at SET now. Stupid question, but does a dance floor for non-vip's even exist? I was looking at photos and it doesn't seem to have any area near the dj booth cleared out...

From everyone I talked to over there, they will be closed for 2 weeks. That's coming from a buddy who is high up in the pecking order

Hopefully this means they are finally upgrading the sound system ...

What if the VIP on the dancefloor is made bigger...

Not sounding good by thought of VIP encircling the DJ. I'll hold off on my judgement for the day it re-opens and people post reviews/pics.

i forgot where i saw it but it mentioned something about "mansion 360". gay indeed if its only vip up close. im also thinking this would kinda fuck up mansions lighting setup. and honestly thats really the only thing they got going for them other than occasionally bringing some talent worth seeing.

this sounds like epic failure. vip only around the dj? a stage in the back for more vip or performers only. So if you are not vip its balcony haha? Its not that large to start with.

But the sound system is good and the money put into the club does sound promising. Wonder what it really looks like without shitty furniture taking up the floor.

That rendering is crappy. I wish they posted the actual floorplan. From what I can see there seems to be a little room between the dj booth and the vip tables. Then again, thats a horrible angle to try to understand the layout. I guess we will find out soon when people go on Friday and Saturday. I hope mansion uploads new photos of the club empty so you can get a gist of the general layout.

Anyone go last night to see the mouse. Looking at youtube videos right now. Looks impressive. Lots of LED lights. Also seems then kept the DJ booth up front for this night pushed VIP table further back.

Yeah I saw the booth was in it's usual spot. I'm guessing the 360 is more about the light setup, which looks amazing. Can't wait to see a proper trance set played in that place.

PVD during WMC/MMW would be the best way to give their new setup a good testing ...

Had a buddy who was in the area around 1am and stopped by to see how much the cover was and amazingly it was only $40...$100 online presale and $60 dollars less at 1am...
