Updated Work in progress ~ Need some feedback again!
Contiguous(Updated!) by sicc
Took your guys advice, tried to make the progression a bit more subtle, added a few things, played with some filters on 3 different elements, and simplified the cymbals. What do you guys think? Does that lil break beat section flow with the track towards the end or does it feel a bit to abrasive?
Couple of things right from the top lol (it is just me); one --> I would look for or add some melodic element (at least one) to nicely glue those sounds together (like give this sound evolution a specific direction); and two --> automate this sound, make it morph a bit more, develop more attractive combination of sounds which will interplay between each other in more natural/harmonic way, this is really important in this particular style/genre which is trying to play with people emotions and feelings. You are on the right path my friend, just my $0.02.
Have a great one man,
Darek

Top of my head -
1:55 can be so much better....try to increase(automate) the reso after adding delay+reverb...but simultaneously decrease the volume over 8 bars to sort of meld into the pads...
3:00 - 3:45 ...did u use glitch?...try using some variations.Giving a glitched FX ,a lead synth's priority ...well ...it doesnt sit well (from personal experience
)
Outro could have been better...slowly removing pads and elements from the drum loop.
2:45 - Zeh Reverb zould be moaaar
But really great track man....
...awesome work !!!
I think you have some nice elements there, but the pad drone under the whole thing feels a little overpowering. Not that it shouldn't be there, but that it should be more subtle. This will allow it to lay the foundation like I suspect you want it to, but also make room for you to do more interesting bits on top of and inside of it.
Also, the sounds you are using for some of the detailed blips and blops feel very naked to me. Try putting some texture on them with some effects and filters and such to dirty them up a bit.
Then I would also try breaking up your arrangement a bit more into clear drones, builds, and releases. I think all the parts are real close, but just my thoughts. Ultimately its your piece and has to satisfy YOU creatively. If it has done that, chances are it will reach someone else as well.
thanks for sharing.

i listened to this, i dont necessarily agree with the above comments, i think you did what you wanted, and thats most important imo.
a suggestion for the mixing though, i think you should EQ dip some harsher sounds out to help them gel more, experiment with different q and db settings, first lift them a bit to find the most agitated/harsher parts then lower them.
cool float pad.

you have some nice elements there, alittle bit of a melody would top it off for me. not a fan of the breakbeat, mybe keep the bassline in there??? I see visions of bright lights with this one, cool work
