trance

This is a paradox.

The deepest, most entrancing, most rappresentitive pieces of the essence of trance music are unseen, unfelt and uncomprehended.

The word "trance" is emty of any value, sense and meaning these days. The word is abused. By saying 'trance', you say everything, and at the same time nothing.

What a sad and desolated scenary.

i get what you mean, but there is still trance out there
you just gotta look harder
it is def not getting supported by the big guys, they play "pop" and have the balls to label it as trance

Not really. I mean, it's a good track but not really amusing.

Oh come on. This track is average at best, it's eight years old and have you heard what MIKE is doing these days? I saw him on NYE after J00F and it had very little to do with "the essence of trance".

Go listen to another genre of music for a while. You'll feel a lot better.

+1. I did buy this when it was first released being quite a MIKE/Push fan, but no it's not one of my better purchases, not by a long shot.

I'm not too terribly familiar with MIKE's work but this song is pretty good. If I heard this when it was released, I think I may have enjoyed it less though.

precious piece. Too bad M.I.K.E. is spinning mostly trouse when he plays. would go nicely with some goa. wish I had it on vinyl.

I actually think that is one of MIKEs weaker tracks. I mean compare it to "Deepest Jungle" or why not "Sunrise at Palamos".

Decent track, but much better than his recent stuff a.k.a last 5 years or so..

This is like comparing Ferrari and Lamborghini. They are both good in their own way. Subjectiveness enters here.

and yes i once was die hard m.i.k.e. fan but these days ugh i dont even bother
such a disapointment

I don't think the op gave any indication that he was referring to MIKE's current status as a producer/DJ infact I'd be willing to bet if he heard what MIKE has been playing (a replica of any other armada DJ) that he'd agree with you. Believe me, I'm in no way endorsing the fact that he'd open up a thread like this in the first place but hey, at least he's content with something.

The Ferrari is better. Also, this track is neither, sounds more like a sporty BMW at best.

This track is not really worth mentioning much, it's a typical treadmill track of that time, nothing unique, and disposable. Mike had way better tracks then this one. For one, Morphosis is a nice example of more "perfect" trance:
