Seandroid - Undiscovered (Done?)

Undiscovered by Seandroid

Whelp, I think it's done but knowing me I'll go back to it. But I'd like to get some input before i call it final.

not a fan of those aggressive rattling vowel type leads, but this is well produced, plenty of detail, build ups and energy release. Nice melody too

Heh, yeah I know the electro sound's a bit controversial on here but I'm glad you found it well produced. Thanks man.

Sean, what do you use most? Sylenth & Massive?

Actually on this one here, the main lead is made in Razor, the main bass in FM8, the squareish bass sound is stylenth and the little wobbles are Massive.

The uh white noise is ES2 with a bit crusher on it

Pretty even spread I do use those synths often though.

Not my cap of tea bud got some edgy Electro/House groove and energy with some light but well defined melodic elements blended all around this production, really strong and greedy stuff with really good potential ---> well done Sean !!!

Cheers,

Darek

Thanks man! I appreciate that a lot.

I actually did some little modifications to the 2nd drop. Made it some more energetic and not just a repeat of the first.

i keep saying the same thing. Until you realize you need to start building phrases with the sound effects you are using, it will sound bad. That side chained noise is annoying and unneeded. The problem is that it sounds like you are trying to do this type of electro but just haven't listened to enough to realize that this just does not work. I know you know good tracks. Use them. Listen to how the sounds are organized.

I really like the intro, specially the sound that sounds like a mix between a vocal and panpipe. What is that?

The break is nice to, good ideas and well performed.

This kind of Electro isn't really my thing though so I don't want to say to much about the rest but there is definitely things I enjoy with the song and I think you have some cool sound selections.

I agree about the whitenoise though, you should try without it or try to make it fit better, it doesn't really fill any purpose atm.

Overall good production!

wow superb track! im a real synth head and i love those sounds! great track especially considering im not a huge fan of electro and its counterparts

Just out of curiousity, how long did this take you to make?

It's practically all I listen to. I wasn't trying to do complextro with this track, but I can do the vowel formats and phrasing with my sounds, I often do, I just wasn't going for that sound on this track. I think it came out very well. I appreciate the input as always.

Thanks, that sound is something I actually made in Sylenth. it's a saw wave and I believe a square wave detuned, bitcrushed, low passed and then I added a bit of white noise on top.

I do like the white noise in the drop though. I think it just makes it a bit more energetic and makes the impact a bit more powerful. I actually had someone comment that they wished it went on a bit longer and was side chained more haha.

Ok impressive, its a really cool sound.

And about the whitenoise, I was thinking more about the one going on after the break (the break is even better now the second time listening)
but I guess thats more of a artistic decision, just wanted to give you my view about it.

Whats next? Are you going to test it at a club?

proper sick stuff

very Wolfgang Gartner, i like it, maybe i'd use a different bass but this is totally a personal opinion

sorry took me so long to get to this, ur really good about feedback. you're great at synth design dude. personally i think the arrangement for the intro is a bit forced... the aesthetic. honestly not really my thing but i respect the production value. overall i think the arrangement is what's lacking the most. nice silence before the drop. i think that's the best part of the track without a doubt. keep in mind i'm not suffering through the arrangement, just wishing it was a little more natural and flowing. it's cool. i think the bass synth becomes redundant, the timbre gets a little boring after a while.
