Are things actually slowing down or are people just extra bored and restless right now? I don't know what kind of information you can see about this forum, but I'm assuming you could shed some light on the situation.
I suspect that things aren't as bad as we think they are and this is just a temporary drop. I'm not sure if this is an all-time low for threads and posts. Looking back at the history, it's not unusual to see about 2 days of threads on a single page from years ago, regardless of season. Nostalgia is faulty, and the COR was never as active as I remember.
Forums go through cycles. I've seen it at other places, people complain how dead it is during the winter/summer, then they enjoy a fresh surge activity during spring/fall (or vice versa).
