ID Contest 94

Hi Folks. I'm new here I can say, I took part in last ID contest and now I'm hosting this one. I'm new with this, never have done anything like this before, so please keep cool if I mess up some things. Download here!



Here are the rules:

If I remember correctly, when GroundLine hosted last one, we got points for giving the right track without the correct version. So I'll try to be fair about giving out points.


I'm honestly not sure how hard or easy it will be for you guys to identify the tracks. With Trance it's not like "ah, that song with that chorus", so even if you know that you freaking know that track, it can be impossible to find the names if you have no clue.


Participate by sending me a PM, and do not post answers in this thread.


It's a very trancy contest with only a few not trance tracks, most stuff is a couple of years old, some classics, almost no new tracks, I tried to pick mostly tracks that are known I think. Have fun. Anyway, it was work of some hours but all in all no problem to find 100 tracks.

You might want to put the download link a bit more visible, e.g. in the bottom of the post like this:

Nice contest, I'm in. Loads of IDs here that are gonna drive me nuts. I had been searching for one of these samples for about seven years and only found it last week!

Yes, got a PM by Euforix and can tell him that he's first participant. 18 correctly IDed tracks = 48 Points for you. GroundLine seems to know his trance tracks, 171 Points for 51 completely identified tracks and a couple more almost there. Impressive. Thanks for taking part you two.

Waiting for your message. Donno how long ID-contests usually run. Since there have been 93 before, gimme a hint how long they last usally, please.

I want to know 2 things: a) how long does a contest usually last? And b) when will it be time for some hints?

Just sent in 11 updates.

The contests usually last for 4-6 weeks. Hints are optional, and should not be given too early, to give people a chance to get uniques, maybe when there's 1-2 weeks left, so that people have time to figure out the hints.

Thanks, GroundLine, I'll check your updates very soon. I gave some hints in my back PMs, nothing too obvious of course. Okay, I think you will take over the lead again.

I realized now I did a bit miscalculating with GroundLine's first version, I gave him +10 points, should've been 161 there. Now it's fine, 62x3 = 186 Points.

Sorry, been busy lately. Have worked some clues but didn't think they are good enough to post them. So I'm kinda stuck. I read through your #93 hints and they were great.

Here are the ones I think that are not that horribly boring or obvious...

04. Famous German artist, remixers of #4 and #61 are the same.
09. This artist usually works alone. His artist name is a word play. He shares his first name with a VERY famous trance legend. Some time ago, some of his tracks were entitled with names that have something to do with magic/circus.
21. Think of the TV show LOST. Think of some of the most keyfamous words. That�s the song title. Here, it�s a side project of HUGE trance artist remixed by a famous duo.
42. First single of their next album of �11. This is a remix by a northern guy.
43. Same artist as #42,
44. One of the first tracks of that guy with the never-changing (^^) sound, from a small European country that at least I know doesn�t have other trance artists. Anjunabeats.
45. It's not easy to guess that track number, it's from a pioneer of electronic music, it's not from 1976, but could've been if it had a different name.
61. Same remixers als #6. Put on a happy face and enjoy the sound of those trancy brothers.
64. Those guys you know, the remixer took a military break but returned few months ago. Water helps.
71. Think of a normal morning, what do you do before you go off to work? Then you got the artist. An American. One of his first tracks.
