if it followed the origional story, it would kick ass, but it doesn't, so it sux. *hmph*

hm well i already posted this in one resident evil movie thread that started in here but ill say again my review of the movie

first, i havent played any of the games (im solely an rpg player), so maybe i wouldnt have liked it had i played the games... but in any event

positive things:

-the soundtrack. electronic/industrial type music which fit very well with the movie... i loved it

-the sci fi aspect of it. i love sci fi, i love futuristic looking labs. i love crazy computer systems.

-"clean" gore. i hate axe wound type realistic looking gore.. a lot. i can handle it if its lets say, alien gore, monster gore, etc... but watching people get all fucked up is just gross to me. the best thing about this movie was the fact that all the gore was "clean".. they either didnt show it right when it happened (elevator scene, anyone?), or the gore they DID show was ... unusual so it was rad anyways. (tho they stole the laser scene from Cube).

-the zombies. i think they really did well on this, making them all unnaturally jerky and such.

the bad things:

-the acting. i didnt mind anyones acting except for the girl with the dark hair... it gets old seeing her eyes roll back in her head with every snide comment she makes

-the end. i dunno, i hate open ended shit, even if it is supposed to mirror a game and you arent supposed to have a resolution

all in all, i thought it was a GREAT movie.. rather mindless, yes, so dont see it and expect some huge complicated plot (tho i did like the plot anyways). the special effects were great, music was great, just a good movie.

Even though it wasn't like the first game, I still loved it. It was actually some type of prequel. Supposedly, the second one will have characters from the original game. (i hope!)

I liked the movie, even though it didn't follow the storyline 100% I'd consider it the best game to movie to date. I really liked the score to the movie...it was like techno thrown into a wood chipper. Craziest thing of all...Marilyn Manson co-produced it.

It was a really good film however I didn't like the fact it didn't follow the game. The setting and everything was wicked, I think it was shot well and so on, but hardly any of it was set in the house like the game. The way most the team got killed off was well done however it seems to happen in loads of films that lol but it did go against the way the game in a bit as they didn't really get involved in much action, the major part which done my fucking head in was the way she starts punching and kicking zombies and especially that really fake kick on the dog.

Good parts though, strong plot really unpredictable in parts which made it very good, The settings like in the complex were really well done like the labs were really clean and brightly lighted, but like uncomfortable looking aswell.

I liked the cliffhanger at the end, I just hope theres more action in the sequel involving the zombies as the gun fight was a bit shite the zombies because were a bit to immortal for my liking you know aim for their head for fuck sake lol.

So does that mean racoon city is filled with zombies? and the sequel will be where the girl (i forget her name) goes out and finds other survivors or something?

good plot. interesting making of the computer AI.

yeah da scientists opened da Hive and da zombies came out and killed everybody,who became zombies as well...so I don't know what hope could be next
that's why da 2nd episode will be more exciting

total cheese... especially the dialogue at the ending "nemisis project...yadda yadda" but it was fun all the same. i liked it, not good, just fun.

it was definitly the best movie from a video game to date, although that isnt much of a title to take

it rocked! my heart never beat so hard as it did for that whole movie! zombies are pretty much the only thing that scares me in films any more, and the zombies were top notch in this! great show!

Yes it will. At the end I remember hearing the guy saying somthing about Nemesis. Well if you've played the third Resident Evil game you will know this will be interesting

Yeh man, i thought it was a mint film, i was expecting it to be turd, and i havent played the game. But it turned out to be really good, i loved the story line, really original rather than the usual american FBI/NSA/ bloke saves the world from nuclear disaster.
