Cdj 100s or Denon dns 1000 pls give me an advice

for thechno the cdj 100s are best but for prog i would go for the dns 1000s! it really depends on the type of music you want to play really, it's the downfall of using cd's if you know what i mean? Maybe get one of each player, or maybe two of one kind so you don't have to alternate between prog and thechno each song ! and if your'e not a poor student like me maybe you can also afford a Kaoss pad because I know that's what all the minimal guys make theyre music on LIVE!

WTF?

to the OP: if you're on a VERY limited budget, at least get the 200's

it's a wellknown fact that the easy swinging jog wheel of the cdj 100s make them superior to mixing the heavy and crunchy techno beats on, and the smooth pitch control of the dns make them well suited for long prog transitions. stop being such a noob adam!

:)

both cd players got 0.1% pitch resolution...dns doesnt' have so smooth pitch buddy

It's about the feel, not the specs man. And who the hell are you to talk back at me? You're the one asking for whether to get CDJ-100's or DNS 1000's. LOL

Yeah don't talk back to alfi, he's the one who offered me wit true headphones are

It's actually all about specs!

A kick has a length of around 0,05s. You will hear distinct 2 kicks latest when they shift relatively to each other by half their length. So if you consider the first kick as the reference and you want them to stay in sync for at least 60s, the second one may only be faster by 0,042%.
For 120s it would be of course 0,021%. If you now don't want to touch the jogwheel while the transition 0,02% pitch resolution is absolutely necessary, in my opinion. ;-)

Alternatively you should just save up and get the Beats by Dre. Perfect transitions every time.

alfi is right, my mixes have never been smoother thanks to beats by dre
