Love the transitions.. Fast hard beats and booom.. silence and melody.... Great. End was a bit off..
Roxy - AWESOME CLUB!! I didnt expect much, but
1) It was nice and cooool!!!! Air was pretty fresh...
2) Sound system - NICE!!! Not 2 loud!!!
3) People in general were very very friendly and asians were good people (not exit type)..
4) PLENTY of space to dance, plenty of couches to sit and relax and plenty of space to go talk if your ears are hurting from music..
5) Thank God we don't have to go to exit any more..
ROXY gets my 2 enthusiastic thumbs up...

That was a great night. Dj Tec, you were sick. I couldnt believe that a fellow ta could spin those kind of hard beats. 
It was great seeing all of my freinds down there, and getting a few group pictures with the Dj's.I felt really bad for Edgar b/c while he was waiting for Bond to finish he seemed really exited about the night( he was all smiles) until 5:30 came only a half hour into this guys set they told him he had to stop playing
.I really dont care if theres 10 people in the club, this guy flew from Florida to Dj hear that night...... When I looked back in the booth Edgar was very pissed off. So he did what any of us would have done, he let his frustration out in his music.Edgar put on Boca - Play with me(bell rmx) 
After this he played for about 15 more minutes. Ill post the pics of us later this week. -john-
TA owned the stage. Scot Bond was great. Every song he played was hard euphoric trance. I barely remember any garbage coming on after he started his set. John pulled one of his stunts again and got Edgar V to come hang out with us on the stage. He even got his number 
I was so engrossed in the music that I didn't even recognize the switch-over between Scot Bond & Edgar V. Edgar V played a good mix of Hard Trance, House & Techno. He closed the place out with a 3 song encore of Dj Isaac Mixes. Matt has the semi-offical playlist.
As for Roxy, I still don't like it. Don't get wrong, I had a wild time, but I always have a red/pink memory in my mind when I think of that place. The temp inside was good but that's because it wasn't overpacked. If you squeezed everyone together only half the place was full. I can't really judge the sound system because I stayed on the stage for 90% of the night. If it wasn't for meeting up with everyone, the party could have really sucked.
Special thanks to Matt for driving us there and back. Me & John took lots of pics so I'll post those once there developed.
Does anyone know in what order the first 3 progressive Djs came on? I think it was Joshua Ryan before Scot Bond but I got that just from hear-say.
great night overall...i just got back from driving my sister to stony brook and still no sleep!ahhh ok thanks for all the TA support, it was great seeing everyone.
Red and Daph finally getting to meet both of yas. ruby, im telling you, i think I know you from somewhere or have chilled with you before, somewhere upstate when i went to rochester. hrmm go figure!
arleetec nice meeting ya for the first aswell. and nice seein all the familiar faces. not a bad night, i definitely enjoyed it. the next time at roxy is for tijs on the 18th..and (ahem ahem) thats my 21st bday so uhh yea im gonna get pretty messed up...

it was great to see everyone friday! i had a surprisingly great night. this review would've come earlier but i just got home....
The music:
i was feeling kinda shitty friday night and almost didn't go except that i had already bought a ticket and i really wanted to see tek spin. IT WAS WORTH IT!! Tek spun exactly the style i was in the mood for on friday and even dropped some breaks! i heard a bit from duane king and scott bond on the main floor but as soon as bond started with the epic trance i went back to the other room for star who was also spinning great. then i ended the night with edgar v. i was loving his hard style and falling asleep at the same time (after my caffeine pill had worn off). I would've liked to hear more from him when they kicked him off but it was time for me to go home cause i was pretty tired.
The sound:
I've said it before and friday comfirmed it: the sound at the roxy SUCKS! the back room sound was weak but acceptable for a room that size, but the main floor.... For having spent $300,000 on phazon i expect so much more. the bass sounds good but the highs get lost in that huge room. if they don't do something about that with all these big name djs coming in i am going to be pissed.
The people:
It was so good to see all of you! I had a couple crews of ppl there friday and i didn't get to spend as much time with TAs as I would've liked but it's always a pleasure to see you all out.
Brian - tell your crew that they are awesome! I hope we can chill again soon and hear tek spin again.
Scott Bond was defintely great. One of the last few true quality TRANCE dj's. Nice to finally meet Melissa, John, Art, Matt and whoever else I might have forgotten. And nice to meet Freeza, Daphna and Ian again too -- Roxy is definitely a cool place... I like the improvements in sound and design alot. PVD will ROCK the place in 9 weeks!

thanx to everyone that i've met during my set..Melissa, Pyro, Taub, NY1004 and ExelonGT i hope u enjoyed the music, i was supposed to be on from 10-12 but Roxy didnt let ppl in until 11, so i apologize... anyway i had a great time
about the club, it was ok.. Scott was cool but i didnt really like the crowd.. it seemed like a regular Fri. night KTU party crowd..
and the Roxy phazon was definitely disappointing.. the bass was ok but there was like no Hi's and it doesnt sound quite together(i dunno they really need to improve on that if they keep bringing big djs..i cant stand listening to a great dj on a wackass sound)HIGHLIGHT\BUGOUT OF THE NIGHT : DJ Sammy - Heaven WTF was that all about?? thats when i left actually hehe.. overall i had a good time especially cuz all my friends were there..

Loud on the dance floor and quieter away from it.. Just like I like it..

Well, I finally recovered from this weekend. We hit up the Roxy on Friday night, then went to a day party in Long Island on Saturday from 12-12, then faced a hellish ride back to Massachusetts on Sunday afternoon, but it was worth it
Well, we got to the Roxy around 1:30. It was pretty cool. After being to the Sound Factory, and hearing how bad Exit was, I was a little scared that the Roxy was gonna be packed and suck. But it was fine. (A lot better then I thought it was going to be) The overall sound I thought was pretty bad. After hearing so much about the Phazon and all, how it's the best system in the world and shit...I was very disapointed. I've heard better systems at wack local parties heh...Oh well, that's why I don't have high hopes when I go to parties or clubs anymore, because I always end up getting disapointed 
The sound in the VIP room I thought was weak too. There was like hardly any bass coming out of those speakers at all 
But that's not any of the DJ's fault, so it's allright hehe.
Josh Ryan didn't really impress me all that much, he droped a few nice tunes. But I liked Duane King, and Scott Bond impressed me a lot, I didn't know he was that good! I died when he played Sevan Cities. (Hehe, I remember when that song came on, me and Rory looked at eachother and was like Sevan Cities...AHHHHHHHH!!! And then started going crazy.
So overall I had a great and fun night. I danced and stringed my ass off. And I am very happy that I decided to go. It was cool seeing PVD_S11DJ and Rubyriva again. I also got to meet quite a few of you which was great. I remember meeting: Taub, NY1004, butterfly, pyro264jb - you were wicked cool and friendly...I remember meeting a few more of you guys too...sorry but I forget who exactally I am also sorry that I didn't talk and hang out with you guys more, but I am kinda shy around people I don't know that well hehe. I was disapointed I didn't get to meet kidnyce though...I brought my strings for him (I would of brought them anyway heh ) But it's all good, next time!
