Audio Stores online

sorry if this has been done before, but can anyone give me some recommendations on some audio stores that ship online (canada). i know of sweetwater but thats about it.

this is pertaining monitors, headphones, mixers, but i suppose stuff in general. i believe some stores specialize in certain things and you're bound to get a better price on something in that specialty but let me know.

any experience / bad or good feel free to post.

cheers.

I'm pretty sure that Musicians Friend, Guitar Center, and AudioMIDI all ship to Canada, eh. Musicians Friend and GC have always been reliable for me. AudioMIDI used to be my go-to, but ever since they "improved" their website (that's American for sarcasm, in case in wasn't clear, ya hoser), things have been hit/miss. I suggest just sticking with Sweetwater.

Lol, I just notice that Cryo was a bit faster lol, but anyway:

Did you ever try www.guitarcenter.com, most of our stuff was purchase from there.

They will match any price (from any legit store of course) and usually can add some discount on top of that we never have/had any reason to complained about this place.

Cheers,

Darek

bhphotovideo has worked well for me, personally.

If you are in Toronto, check out www.savedbytechnology.com or moog audio as they are great places to try out things

the prices are not really great there, but it is very close ;\

those filthy americans seem to have things cheaper.

http://www.zzounds.com has always been great for me ..its hard to find a exclusive Canadian retailer without the prices being insane.

What about Long & McQuaids (or whatever they are called) There used to be a couple of them in Toronto when I lived there and they were pretty competitive (think guitar center etc).

L&M prices are still quite high compared with what you can get from the US, even with shipping and duties factored in.

Just used BH Photo Video for some audio goodies. Highly, highly, highly recommended. Best prices on pretty much everything I ordered. Great customer service and a decent return policy.

Amazon.com is another option.

If you're looking for something a little harder to get, try NovaMusik. I'm pretty sure they ship to Canada and they run some pretty good sales, especially some of their bundles.

As for prices, pretty much all of them will match/beat each others' prices. I've even had Sweetwater honor a Guitar Center coupon on an item that they stocked, but Guitar Center didn't. You just need to contact them.

Oh, for comparison shopping, canada post has a good comparison guide that compares prices from different venders

yea its a pretty good store, they also price-match but im not sure if they do american/online stores. they have decent selection but they dont cover it all. for example im trying to pick up those jbl 2325's but they dont have them.

b&h audio and sweetwater are also shortstocked on them. guess ill stick to sweetwater here and wait.

Bought my laptop there and got it shipped to NL. Would be surprised if CA wouldn't be shipped to. They work really fast .
