creamfields UK 2012

http://www.clickliverpool.com/news/...-announced.html

line up = to die for.

has anyone ever made the trip over? would like to consider this but don't know if it'd be too much of a headache to find camping gear in the UK, get from the airport to the festival, etc etc.

let me know

Wow that's an amazing lineup. I'd love to see what a trip like this costs as well.

Yeah does anyone have any insight on how much a trip like this would cost. Like a Wed/Thurs thru Monday trip??

I am reallly interested to find some info out on this festival. I would prob sell the EZ tixs I have for some extra cash! Since that is the week after Creamfields.

Thanks in advance

+1.

NYC -> Manchester flights are around $1,000 for Thursday to Tuesday. The website says the Festival is within an hour of Liverpool/Manchester.

The bigger questions is how to manage to get camping gear and transport it to the festival. Doesn't look like the website has an official message board we can use but I'm strongly considering doing some research and seeing what's up. I have Coachella lined up for next month but I'd much party with the crazy Brits than with a bunch of hipsters from Cali

Hipsters are better than the roided up aggressive bros that are taking over edm.

When i went to london 2 years ago from jfk it was 700. 1000 seems too much. Thats how much my flight to Vietnam was. But maybe with the higher gas prices theyre jacking airfares way up, like right now a flight from Charlotte to Miami is 424. I didn't even pay that much to fly to Cali. So I guess its up to you to wait or not. It is in August right? So you have plenty of time.

I contemplated doing this 2 years ago with my good friend. The only thing that stopped us was the issue with getting things for camping.. We also looked into staying a hotel near the grounds which wasn't a bad idea but we just said fuck it and ended up booking a trip to Amsterdam. If your looking to book a flight, I strongly recommend booking asap as prices will keep getting higher and August being one of the popular months for Americans traveling to Europe. I worked at the airport for 5 years so I know for a fact. And with gas expecting to go over $5 a gallon gives more of a reason to book it now if you wanna do this. Definitely try flying out of JFK or even take a connecting flight as sometimes it ends up being cheaper..

One year I will go to this.. I have to.

yeah.. my girl and i are big on the getting to camp part. that's what we're most excited for about coachella. at least i have some friends in cali to help with camping gear.. but not so much in the UK.

with that line up though, it's totally worth the headache of figuring it all out. although it's almost bittersweet because at any point in the day.. you're missing out on 2-3 incredible DJs to catch another one.

that being said.. pryda & friends stage. that is all.

They have these little huts you can rent instead of getting camping gear... anyone have info on them. It looks like there are a few different options..

I also saw $1000 for flights to UK around the festival.

Based on this list, I am lead to assume that there will be no other parties, anywhere else in the world, going on that weekend.

From the uk myself, I would fly to Heathrow as it would be cheaper and then get a train to Manchester, about 2.5 hour journey and should be many options to get you to the festival from there.
In regards to camping gear you could try the website link below, like a big k-mart cheap and plenty of options. They have thousands of shops around the country. You can search through the website first, order and pick up at a shop in Manchester of your choice.

My good deed for the day there!!
