Speaker position

I'm really limited to where i can put my speakers in my bedroom as i don't have alot of room. Basically i have my turntables, mixer and amp in the corner of the room facing the wall. And i have some biggish speakers behind me. Is this a problem? Do i really need them in front or at the side of me? I'm new to djing so just curious. Thanks.

It's most likely not ideal as you mentioned, but if it's all you can do to try out new areas to get the best sound, then what can you do?

not ideal, but if its all you can do its better than nothing. the problem is your ears are designed to pick up sound from in front of you so what youre going to be hearing most is the sound thats reflectd off the wall and back towards you.

have you got any pics of your setup? post them up here and maybe we can throw some ideas around
