I suck at cleaning records
Stupid question but might aswell but this here.
So I have this electromagnetic-whatever cleaning cloth and brush but when I clean one side the other side gets all dusty because it sticks to the slipmat.
Do I need a liquid cleaning solution or what?
you need a new/clean slipmat.

Is your room very dry? Is there a lot of static in your environment? Also it's possible that you just have really shitty slipmats - for example one of mine is branded Numark and is made from a foamy material which is different from the standard ones that you tend to see, and records stick to it all the time. But when I played my records at a friends place the other day that wasn't happening.

Slip mats get dirty all the time. There isn't much you can do about it except to put cover them or to put them in jackets/sleeves and brush them/clean them every now and then. However, to clean your records, you should be using this.

Mine seems sort of rubberish, maybe I need to get a better one. I'll try vacuuming it.

Static electricity attracts dust like nothing else.
