Dany Dax comes from Yekaterinburg, Russia, and is another new introduction on Echelon this year. He has a few releases out already and now opens 2012 with the cool single release "First Snow" - a smooth progressive trancer with a deep vibe. The themes of the track are interlaced in a few central melodies and motifs, creating a pleasantly flowing harmonic fabric. The steady pulse of the bass provides a solid low end for the long sweeping of the background pads. Like a pensive adagio, the mid-break creates a penetrating contrast between the main parts and the momentary fresh breeze serves as a short build up for the melodies to continue.
