dude closure is long long time away...just learning NOW that shes dead rather than the possibility of her being still missing, the grieving is just beginning. Sure its one step, but moving on takes a long time. This isnt instant relief to a troubled family.
Plus no one knows how she actually died or how she ended up there

| Originally posted by cammaxwell I disagree, I think the constant pain and anguish of not knowing what happened to your loved one would have haunted them till the day they died. At least now having a understanding of what happened, and being able to bury your daughter is huge for them it terms of being able to move on. Didn't the dad accuse a neighbor of having something to do with her disappearance, and ended up stabbing him? At least now he knows the truth rather than harboring some sort of anger or resentment towards that guy, maybe that would have drove him to even further with violence once he got out? Hopefully now he'll be able to start the healing process... |

i have a feeling she was thrown out of the car or something, i cant understand how she would be walking on a highway overpass without anyone seeing her and then jumping off it, how would she even get there from school? seems unlikely imo.
Of course this was a terrible thing to have happened to any family and no one thing will ever less the impact of this tragic event. But I think if you spoke to other families with missing loved ones, knowing what happened is probably the first step in healing and coming to terms with it. For those who never find out, it must be a constant nightmare every time a new lead comes in or every time they find remains somewhere. At least knowing what happened, they can start the process.
Such a sad and crazy story.
It's almost like a really sad movie.
