Red pudding....

Okay, I just heard of this wonderfully tastey sounding saussage called Red Pudding. Apparently it's Scottish so it is likley to cause a myocardial infarction; however, I really must try it. It's principally made of bacon and pork then deep fried. Unfortunately, I know of no butchers in my area that carry this delicacy and cannot find a recipe online so I'm calling on the c0r... if anyone has a recipe for this deadly food please let me know.

I'm presuming that it's a variant on black pudding which is very common here. I've heard of red I think but not seen it before.

It is but not made with blood. I love black pudding.

The ingredients consist of bacon, beef, port, pork rind, suet, rusks, spices, salt, and beef stock. I would probably add cheese to it as well for a little extra goodness.

I actually specialize in the breeding and slaughtering pigs that are being used in Red Pudding sausages that my grand father produce and sell, so if you want I could probably send you some as we just slayed about 30 pigs yesterday so the sausages should be ripe for picking in about a week or so.

If you'd rather just try to make them yourself, send me a pm and I'll send you the list of spices etc you'd need to make them proper Red Pudding sausages. But I must warn you, making them yourself is messy business so be sure to get buckets for all the pig blood and remember to tell your neighbors beforehand so they don't call the cops like they did on me.
