Applecare... :/
So I picked up a refurb Macbook Pro about a year ago... I have till mid-April to buy applecare for it if I choose. Shit is fucking expensive though and I hate dropping that kind of money for something I may or may not ever need. Like you could buy a mac mini or a PC laptop for close to the same price of this damn warranty
Anyway do you think it's worth it or a total waste of money?
go get it ASAP.
My 1000$ 24" cinema display died after 24 months of use and Apple asked me 800$ to have it repaired, which I refused. Got the guy on the phone saying "if only you had an applecare"
Do not trust Apple. They're a company making money, and they have lots of defective devices passing quality control. Your logic board could die in a year and you would regret not getting an applecare, seriously, it happened to many friends of mine.
There are loads of people on my FB with Apple stuff dying at the moment. A few people on here too.

I would get get it - Apple actually have the lowest failure rates for laptops compared to all the other major brands but still, what you have to realise is that any advanced electronics can go wrong at anytime, and with apple products costing more than the average product, that $250 suddenly becomes a small amount to pay for a $1500 replacement.
A least the nice thing about apple care is that they are way more lenient for user damage and strange problems; My mate dropped his MBP and it had a fat crack on the underside casing. It was 11 months old and he said to them it just stopped working and even though they asked about the crack he said it had been there for ages, and because he had apple care they just said OK and he got it completely fixed.
Apple care in that respect (sort of) becomes a no-questions-asked insurance policy. Even at work, we seriously abused some apple kit and clearly the damage was due to moving shit around/hastily unplugging stuff and because we were good customers and always bought apple care with every product, they just gave us new replacements no questions asked.
