Favorite/Best riffs in Trance music

Today I was listening to an old 14 hour set from someone from the almost deceased NLTA subforum, and I suddenly heard this simple yet very effective riff from the intro of Gouryella - Tenshi. And maybe it's nostalgia, but it's such a great little riff. It never gets tired, and together with the bass key change, it's just sublime IMO. Then later an extra melody joins in and the intro is just amazing. From 1:28 onward:

Now, if someone makes proper trance/euphoric remix of this, I'll squell like a Japanese schoolgirl out of pure joy.

Seriously, why am I the only one who sees a clear similarity between euphoric trance and NWOBHM/Power Metal?

Yuck. These old sounds make me miss Trance only more. Some tracks sound so 'simple' in design, and not as over produced as todays music.

i've been saying this for YEARS. the new style is sickening. nothing stands out, it's like everything is the same frequency or something. yuck!

the old stuff was organic. it sounded like music, not some computer production.

the best riffs were from flutlicht, which ironically i feel kick-started this trend in over produced music, however no-one did it as good as them. as a result trance has been dead to me for many years - just listen to the shit PVD, corsten and AVB spin these days... compare that to 1998 - 2003... there is no comparison.

back in the day you struggled to find a bad tune, today it's the opposite.

anyway, RIFFAGE!!!
