Not many music producers and DJs can say they made the front page of both USA Today�s and The New York Times� Arts and Culture sections in their entire career, let alone in the same year.
Kaskade can. An avid workaholic and entrepreneur, Ryan Raddon, the man behind Kaskade and a instrumental part of OM Records, transformed his life and the subculture of Electronic Dance Music into a phenomenon in the United States, bringing the appeal found in Europe to America one show, one artist, one song, one remix, one beat at a time. Born near Chicago, Illinois, Raddon found solace in House music. His career as a DJ began in New York and Salt Lake City where he performed at clubs in both cities, studying the music culture and evolution of the genres in both places as he evolved personally as an artist.

With some credit to his name as a DJ, Raddon released his first self-recorded, self-produced material under the name on his own independent label Mechanized Records early in the new millennium. He also networked with an up-and-coming record label A & R representative in San Francisco during this time. There, Chris Smith, bought a couple tracks from Raddon to include in a label release.
When familial matters saw Raddon relocate to San Francisco shortly after meeting Smith, Raddon�s career transformed in the electronic music incubator that is San Francisco. Smith invited Raddon to help him operate his upstart label, OM Records. Raddon agreed, using the position to market not only himself but also other artists and essentially the entire genre of electronic music via this San Francisco outpost filled with Zen energy.

2003, Kaskade was born. Raddon released his first album �It�s You, It�s Me,� album under the artist name Kaskade. The album was a house masterpiece, relying on pulsating beats and smooth instrumentation to convey the point.Kaskade released �In the Moment,� in 2004, which employed a heavy vocal accompaniment to the evolving house sound. Kaskade began taking his music in a new direction and began to collaborate with other artists to reach a larger audience. While producing, Kaskade kept his DJ career alive and well by performing across the country from San Francisco, Las Vegas Miami and New York City. In 2006 he released �Love Mysterious,� which earned him a spot on Billboard�s electronic albums chart.

2008, Kaskade achieved his highest commercial success with the album �Strobelight Seduction.� Using the track �Move for Me,� which Deadmau5 co-produced with Kaskade, as the pioneering vehicle too Kaskade�s global success. Kaskade released Dynasty in 2010 with lesser commercial success than Strobelight Seduction. The lacking success was offset by Kaskade�s collaboration with electronic legend Tiesto on the album, making it a musical success overall.

Recently Kaskade released Fire and Ice, a double album that takes the listener on a crescendo through Fire, the albums first disc that his club hit heavy and features guest appearances from Neon Trees, Skylar Grey and Skrillex. On the flipside, Ice provides downtempo remixes of each track on fire to cool down the night.Kaskade sets the standard for hard work in the electronic music genre. He is both a pioneering artists and activist for the genre, who has built his business and his brand around creating memorable and infectious music. He also takes the time to work with and develop up and coming artists through his involvement with his record label.Raddon embodies what it takes to be successful not only in electronic music, but the music industry period.
