Techno Armin/Tiesto Style

Hey there, been listening to armin's live at club eau (3-18-00) and i just love the "techno" tracks he sticks in the middle there. also i noticed the track SO Project - Direct Disko is also in Tiestos classic TE 2000 set. So i was wondering if any of you techno experts out there could point me in the direction of techno tracks similar to this and other tracks such as Kiko - World Cup, Twilight - Platina, Bismark - Reactivate and so forth. i started to download some live "techno" set recommendations from this site (Umek, Dave Clarke, etc.) and they all seem to sound really dark and sinister compared to most of the tracks i mentioned here. i was just wondering if these tracks are a different kind of techno or if the stuff i have been downloading is a different kind or what. i am quite new to techno but would really like to learn the ropes and get in to it. so any recommendations of other tracks and/or sets i would enjoy based on my tastes would be appreciated. Though I am not techno expert (wait for verminator, acid junkie and TTA to respond), I saw armin last night at the Labour of Love party in Toronto, and he through down one of my favourite techno songs:

Speedy J - Electric Deluxe

Try that, and other stuff by Speedy.

jeah speedy j stuff is very nice kreck especially imo
also chris liebing stuff is very nice and not to forget umek stuff too
