Help Please: Buying an album on beatport

if i buy a tune on beatport that is part of an album relsease say for example future sound of egypt vol2.

if i buy just a track, am i going to be able to hear the end of the last song at the begining and the start of the next one and the end and thus it would be unsuitable for mixing

i know some of the tunes on an album are only 3 or 4 mins long becuase of how they appear on the album but im just wondering are the tracks that are longer going to be proper full version or can these tracks can be used only for listening, obviously i COULD use it in a mix but wouldnt be as suitable.

Full moon fever for example is the eact same length as the official relase but it wouldnt be like that on the album, so maybe beatport just use that official release and put the future sound of egypot logo on?

AM I EVEN MAKING SENSE!!?!?

None whatsoever

Probably depends on the album. Just find someone who has already bought tracks from it and ask them. Problem solved.

Does the release also have a full mixed MP3 of the whole album? If so, the individual tracks will definitely be unmixed.

it has a one single file that is 76min long therefore the whole album in one yes..

Nothing to worry about, then.

thanks,

now a that leads me to a slightly edited question

of i was to choose to purchase the whole album but as seperate songs (thus paying less per track and getting the tracks as splits) do you think id still get tracks unmixed? im assuming i would

guess i'll find out if i just do it but obviously im trying to avoid paying for it then getting mixed in tunes

my only reservation is that some albums are specifically released as "unmixed" later on

Beatport isn't that smart. You buy a track, it's always either mixed or unmixed. Generally it works out cheaper to buy it as a release if you want all the tracks.

cheers

if only they came as full lengths throughout the album then i would be saving
