crappy xtravaganza vinyls!

I've got two brand new vinyls from the Xtravaganza label that are severly messed up. The vinyls were cut off center so the pitch constantly changes on them. It's extremely annoying and makes the vinyls completely worthless...

I can't return them either due to final sale policies and it pisses me off. Lesson: always listen to your Xtravaganza vinyls before you buy!

Hmmm.. that would be very very annoying. The only xtravaganza vinyl I have is Balearic Bill - Destination Sunshine and its fine I think they may have just cocked up on yours mate

Who�s final sale policy? Xtravaganza or the store�s?

i have tons of xtravaganza vinyls (one of my favourite labels) and they all seem to be fine to me

it was probably just your inparticular vinyl...send them an email directly at xtravaganza
more then likely you'll have to send yours in and theyll send you a new one...at least any reputable label would

I have lots of Xtravaganza records as well. All play fine

Im sure it was just a freak accident

It's my store's final sale policy...


I'm definately going to write the label a complaint. The two records that are messed up are Agnelli and Nelson - Everyday 2002 Alex Gold mixes and Balearic Bill - Destination Sunshine. I guess it's just my bad luck that I picked up two of their freak accidents. Hopefully they'll send some replacements because they really do sound like crap...

I have Balearic Bill on Xtravaganza, and it's phucked up. The needle keeps going from left to right for about 1 cm. Also, the semitones of the music keep going up and down

I also have Destination Sunshine and it is also fucked up. It is a bit warped and the groves also move not in a circle. It pissed me off because the store wouldn't exchange it! The bastards!
I also got Epic Monolith on White label with an Xtravaganza sticker on it and the remix (the other side to the one on POD) the grooves are also not in a cirlce but and oval and the needle is dancing when it goes around.
So far Ive only had bad with Xtraganza

I have some xtravaganza tunes as well, couple chicane tracks, balearic bill, airscape, hmm.. thats all i can remember off the top of my head, i know theres a few more (i can picture the typical xtravaganza layout but can't remember the tunes), anyhow they all work fine, that sucks for you though, if a store has a final sale policy, u better make sure u listen to ALL tunes before buying them, not just xtravaganza, all labels will have bad presses from time to time.

i had a problem with theire copy of Sunset On Ibiza , the center hole wasnt in the middle....annoying

I have 37 (just counted em ) Xtravaganza vinyls inc Balearic Bill and I've not had probs.

It'll be more to do with the pressing plant than the label. My copy of Velvet Girl - Promise U Heaven is dished, but all my other Green Martians are fine.

i have the double pack of talla 2xlc - come with me/always, and somehow they became totally warped, so if my tonearm weight isnt' maxed, they skip continuesly. its damn annoying. it was like 30 bucks too.

i have this problem with my copy of The Awakening by Rank 1. i bought it from Chemical Records and i dont know if they'll change it for me.

Maybe we should send this post to them to tel them to stop fucking us over! I can't play my Destination Sunshine, an absolute stomper in any sets cause the pitch changes! in the quiet ambient bit the pitch is going up and down and the needle is bobbing up and down like it's swimming in the surf! DAMN YOU XTRAVAGANZA!

I bought the balleric sunshine record and it was messed up exactly how you described it. I just asked for a replacement from where i got it from. (juno)

I have a ton of xtravaganza vinyls and I've never had a problem...only record I've really had problems with was yahel - sound and melody and the song that was on the flipside...seems to have flattened out after being in storage, though

I have this problem with Cygnus X - Superstring. I bought a copy of it from a Virgin Megastore, then took it back because of this, and got another copy from HMV down the road. Same problem. Must be some drunken twat employee loading the blanks onto the press wonky.

i have that but its on Transient, not xtravaganza, and mine is fine.. people, complaining won't get you anything here, the best thing to do is to contact the store you bought your fucked up ass vinyls from the moment u realize they are fucked up.. if your lucky, u'll get a replacement. many people have success stories in getting replacements hastle free from juno, however I have had bad business with them and on two seperate occasions I have received some scratched or warped records from them and they just ignored my emails to them.. so, good luck
