I guess we all have these kind of motivation problems...

How to handle it? Meditation? I don't know!

Maybe we should build some mental strenght...

At least i'm not alone. I find it hard to motivate myself to do certain things, but i'm getting better i think.

I'm supposed to be studying for my MCSE Windows 2000 exam but i canugh be arsed. I'm so sick of study, so i waste time on the net.

Motivation. One of the ways I found out how to motivate myself would be telling a story to my self or setting a goal that truly would not happen but in my mind it would come about.

So If I had to do homework I would convince myself that if I get my homework done I would get a sexy naked girl to come into my room with a bottle of beer and she would poor it in my mouth and then just let me admire her beauty (sorry for the female's on TA but I am a guy).

True it sounds gay but it's really a set of the mind, if you push your mind to an idea and a goal then Im thinking you will be able to do it.

Fear is my motivation For example if I dont do my homework im scared my grades will drop and my parents will get pissed.

yeah but when you don't get any satisfaction out of completing the Homework I mean if it's just a fantasy why bother?

See in all honesty I dont give a flying fuck. However not doing work = bad grades and badgrades = no computer, no computer = bad, so using the transitive property we can conclude that not doing work = bad

Motivation

I think motivation for me is not failing lol. Or if its for work just do it so you can get paid and support yourself ;p. You gotta say to yourself "There is always good things that happen after you motivate yourself to do your work"

Posted by k.k.d. on Sep-04-2002 05:26:

There's always the art of "being motivated the next day"... That never fails

Posted by jdat on Sep-04-2002 05:53:

ok here's a flame war starter really meant to be a wake up your brain and think before you reply comment

trances makes your brain mush...

if not

PROVE IT

but really I think this applies to most styles of music... when you're really into it and totally addicted

whenever i need to motivate myself to work out, i always go check out the asses thread and tell myself that i wont score if i dont excercise. Works everytime.

Posted by CortexBomb on Sep-04-2002 16:09:

Motivation?

Well, to do school work I don't really require much beyond my desire to finish out my degree...having spent several years of my life working shite jobs for piss-poor pay where I felt like I was wasting my skills and time; it doesn't take much to make me see the merits of getting a degree so I can get paid a bit more, and actually feel like I'm doing something worthwhile.

Motivation for anything else beyond getting together with my mates for some card flopping or such though? Forget it

Posted by AlphaStarred on Sep-04-2002 16:59:

What motivates me is blasting some hard trance music and working out. And i don't mean going to the gym, that is fine too but gets you tired as hell after you're done. I like to put pop in a bangin cd and just start doing as many push-ups as i can. After im done i feel like i could do anything
