quick overview of the lighting here
Yup, saw Deadmau5 there on the last night (Sunday) of WMC. Honestly it was a great show (sorry to hijack the thread). Deadmau5 played an energetic non-electro housey set (well for the first hour) and had the place going crazy. Of course the sound system and lights at Amnesia are state-of-the-art. Great party.
This is the place you go to see someone like Tiesto or deadmau5, because those DJs are more like brand-names with elaborate production elements and showmanship -- something that Amnesia does extremely well.
Well this is my 25th birthday weekend, will any fellow FLTA's come out and celebrate with me? 
I might go check this out! I havent been to Amnesia yet

cool spot, great lights and sound - but there was NO vibe. hopefully you guys get a different crowd/atmosphere for tiesto.

What's the parking situation at Amnesia? I don't really see much in parking when I'm looking for parking garages or parking. Any help would be great!

Amnesia does look sick indeed!!! I'll have to check it out this weekend. Chris Lake and Tristan Garner were not the DJs I had in mind since I like trance but guess they'll do 
I was there, but didnt take any videos...It was a good party. I went not expecting trance (obviously) and even though im not a huge fan of house it was good. Im guessing Tiesto has been hanging out with SHM alot or something? cause he sounded just like them lol
Just saw this post.. few thoughts.
-Amnesia is a great club, incredible lighting (actually place is quite bright/light on the dance floor and inside, but suppose that's a given seeing all the strobe lights).
-The crowd at this was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Seems like Amnesia let anyone who had $40 to drop on a ticket in the door. The most inconsiderate crowd I've ever been around in my life. Not only inconsiderate, but nobody cared about the music. Reference that video, nobody dancing! Just trying to mind your own business and dance in the back, and people were causing fights left and right. Truly makes the night unenjoyable.
-It was actually my first time at Amnesia. I was amazed at the club, really nothing else like it in South Beach. Very eager to give it a 2nd try, and will be doing so next weekend for Above & Beyond. I'm imagining a MUCH better crowd and a fun time, but as far as Amnesia is concerned, I'm staying far, far away if it's another name like Tiesto playing.
