Progressive House - 127 BPM WIP \ SC Downloads Enabled (WAV)

Hai guys.

http://soundcloud.com/tilda140/hi-guys

Some tight percussion with focus on the bassline. Feedback appreciated.

I think the percussion you chose would lend itself better to a less distorted or rhythmic bassline.

I think something like this would work with almost an anticlimax, where the track builds and builds and builds, the cutoff on the bass opens up and gets brighter, and right where you think the tension would release, the kick and percussion drop in and the bass immediately gets lowpassed or gets a rhythmic filter applied to it.

Thanks for checking it out man, hope you don't hate me too much for the feedback I gave your track.

Updated and worked on this quite a bit. Nice new sound. Thinking about going ahead with a release for this so let me know what you think!

Mix is okay, but the song is quite repetetive, add some more underlying melodies.

Thanks for checking, that's what I was thinking too. Tried to fill it out a bit, may play with the melody though...

I really believe that this could be your one of the best production man, it is more repetitive at this stage (then I would like) but I think that you are still working on it and still will be adding some more melodic elements to it.

It can go ether way - this main chords (synth) can be progressively layered with some additional sounds or you can add some soft but memorable apr to add some more activities/attractiveness to this track - your call but I still think that this basic melodic structure is very well constructed already - good luck with it man.

Cheers,

Darek

Cool. Needs more to it though.

It's sounding really cool so far, but your stuff always does.

I'd like to hear a little more sycopation in those hats and perhaps a little more funkeh in the bassline, but everything is there already.

Just fucking finish it!

listened to "NeedgruvGG23-more"
nice grove, nice production and good feel.
tracks structure/progression needs work..

fix that up and you could have a winner on your hands.

keep on working man.

Thanks everyone. A little hard work and I think this one could be ready soon. I read all the feedback, I agree on all points pretty much. Let's see if I can get this bastard finished! Better be a box of Oreos in it for me.

Listening to the second one, I feel like your main synth riff could use some of its low end back (I'm guessing that it has been EQ'd out). Also, everything is kinda dry, acoustics-wise. A pinch of reverb, or delay, in the right place and you're money.
