Angry Beatport sales needed!

http://www.freelancer.com/projects/...les-needed.html

Wow, did anyone else know that this shit has been going on? I guess it's not too surprising.

Posted by Looney4Clooney on Apr-12-2012 16:08:

um ya.

Pay 5000$, guarantee a #1, get half the money back. The guy is posturing like he is looking for a marketing consultant but i think it is obvious, he wants to artificially boost his sales. His budget is way too fucking low tho. You have to do it with a few tracks.

lol, the sadness

So basically, get a ghost writer, then this, then a service that gives a million youtube hits, a few thousand facebook fans and twitter followers and charge 10k per Dj set. Legit business strategy.

its all too common

Even the big names do it pal. I have heard rumours that a few of the big names pay people to download their tracks to keep em at the top of the charts. It definately shows that being honest gets you nowhere. Shocking that it can all be fiddled which doesnt give any up and coming producers a chance in hell.

Not convincing.

Its true a lot of the high commercial guys engage in scams, all sorts of them. Even voting for the Tranceaddict top 250 poll; Swamper has reported a bunch of scamming going on, and that shit is pretty worthless even...

Posted by Juan Paulino on Apr-12-2012 20:26:

The TA top 250, LOL who the hell scams that.

Posted by MSZ on Apr-12-2012 20:28:

not me i swear! im like rank 234, i had to pay like 50 people to vote for me. LIKE A BOSS.

Posted by cryophonik on Apr-12-2012 20:30:

They can afford it mate. Guy I studied at SSR manchesterwith used to dj at digital society who told me a story about a particular dj producer. He told me about all this before I read this thread. It happens

Posted by DjNeilKilroy on Apr-12-2012 20:44:

You would be naive to think you are gonna get somewhere because of talent alone.

Posted by DjNeilKilroy on Apr-12-2012 20:46:

Can I just add when I said big names do it I obviously mean to get them to where they are. Obviously the following comes after that and theres no need.

Im sure if ya caught beatport would do something apout it however my sensible side suggests they probably dont care cos of the money. Im undecided but that guy cant be doing his rep any good.

I'd noticed that the ad had been flagged and frozen, when I peaked, earlier.

Was an article about this recently on all the big Dutch news site which said the same for dutch top40. It 's fairly easy to guesstimate the amount of sales needed to get on a non-suspicious spot to boost exposure and ask for bigger gig fees.

Posted by MSZ on Apr-12-2012 22:20:

no surprise at all, do you know how bad most of these djs are (who cant produce)? theyre pretty bad, they have infested the only superclub we have in toronto, i havent been there or will go there for a very long time. actually john digweed is playing may 15, but thats about it.

Posted by Looney4Clooney on Apr-12-2012 22:35:

you tend to call anything that isn't your thing bad. Granted most djs are but i think you just associate bad with any genre you don't like. Maybe i'm wrong and you've matured.

Posted by MSZ on Apr-12-2012 22:40:

no im sorry, dutch house is bad. most of the electro house they play there is bad. i dont want to hear long ass trance breakdowns either. now mix in poor programming, yea no thanks. there is actually a good room there its called the gallery.

yea im a bit jaded not going to lie, they cater to teenagers.
