Tupac Hologram @ Coachella

this shit is trippy as fuck! high people must have been losing their shit

Posted by Vivid Boy on Apr-16-2012 19:11:

that is fuckin insane. The times we live in!

Posted by phyrrus on Apr-16-2012 19:23:

am I the only one who finds this weird, unsettling and slightly disrespectful? I go to these festivals to see the current state of music, or at least music played by real people, or at the very least music playing while real people stand on stage. what the fuck is the point of watching a simulation of a deceased artist? this technology is just paving the way for people like Tiesto to do even less work on stage.

Posted by srussell0018 on Apr-16-2012 19:24:

Yeah that Tupac. So lazy. Can't even do his own performances he has to get them to use a hologram!

Posted by zyklon-jay on Apr-16-2012 19:26:

Tupac isn't deads though.

+1 Creeeepy.

The technology itself is pretty awesome, but wtf? Can't we just let (legally) dead people be dead!?

"I've been shot five times but im still breathing / living proof there's a god if you need a reason." - Tupac

Truly incredible. You could see Snoop's face, it actually looked like he felt like Tupac was actually on stage with him. Like they were both performing together. I really wanna see an interview with Snoop or something and hear what he thought about that whole thing.

+1, especially for the disrespectful aspect of it.

Don't forget, that hologram cost 1 million dollars to produce.

there is much love for tupac... how many people i nthat crowd actually got to SEE him perform, thats as close as they will get, and its probably an experience they will all never forget

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Apr-17-2012 00:10:

i'll be there next weekend
so i have a proposition for swamper::

send me lots of TA merchandise for free and I'll run up on stage and put a TA t-shirt on Tupac

Posted by Desiderata on Apr-17-2012 00:29:

I'm on the fence with it being creepy and slightly disrespectful but also I agree with the point that not many people ever had the chance to see him perform live so this might have been a great experience for them

very gay keeping your character in briefs.

nice man!! are you camping?? while i don't care for the hologram idea either, i'm still excited for the dre/snoop act. as i understand it, they were basically given a blank check by coachella to do something amazing so i have high expectations (expectations which have been confirmed based on week one attendees)

i'm disappointed with the sahara tent this year and don't expect to spend any time in there really

Posted by phyrrus on Apr-17-2012 01:19:

I'm doing media for the festival, so I never really had a chance at camping tix because Goldenvoice only just confirmed me. luckily a friend I'm going with found an apartment for rent a mile or two away. are you camping? we should meet up or sum ting, if only to protest for the sanctity of posthumous rights.

Posted by Sykonee on Apr-17-2012 05:02:

Pft, all this cutting-edge holo/CGI technology still can't get rid those 'dead eyes'.
