two traktor questions

01. Is there a way to completely kill frequencies in Traktor?

02. I'm looking for some 909-type percussion loops to play on top of tracks via sample decks (I guess?) Finding 909 samples/loop isn't too hard, but it doesn't seem like I can change the tempo of the samples within the sample decks. Are there any DJ friendly 909-type loops or is there a way to change the tempo of samples within traktor?

you can kill frequencies on the eqs in the internal mixer, outside of that im not sure tho.

As for the samples do the loops not just sync to the tempo of the current master track?

Can you load the loops into an actual track deck and make sure they have a proper beat grid?

I've tried all of the EQs and non of them could completely kill. The loops didn't really sync up, but they sorta suck anyways.

Nah, can't load into a track deck.

Have you tried the different EQ type settings (Xone92, DJM, NUO)?

yes, that's what I meant with all of the EQs

yes, thats pretty obvious now lol. I feel dumb

I've been grabbing my loops from tracks I like so they already have a beat grid. They automatically sync to the master tempo with no issues. You might want to try that.

How exactly do you extract the percussion for example?

I get most of mine from the beginning of tracks. I don't separate them out, I just snag'em when they are by themselves.

Have you checked out Beatport's new sample section? I can't imagine that they don't sync.

You can map sync button for all sample decks in traktor.

So I've looked into killing and apparently the only way to kill is with the "classic" mode and with a kill button (or pressing the kill dot). Well, my controller doesn't have a kill button and I don't think there's space to re-map so I guess I'll have to do it by hand...

that is what the filter is for

you can't kill them. But a 12 dB or 24 dB cutoff is as close as you would want to get.
