Vocal tune / pitch shifting

Hi guys,

I've recorded a small vocal done by myself and I'd like to process it to polish the turd. It's another 2 realms for me I don't have much experience in, hence the question. Anyone in here that can recommend me an affordable (or free) plugin that allows me to do some proper vocal corrections and heavy pitch shifting (without altering tempo) ?

I used to use Autotune and recently switched to Melodyne. They're not even remotely comparable and Melodyne is far superior. The great thing about it, is that it can be used for aaaaaall sorts of other cool stuff as well.

I've been using Melodyne for years, but recently started using Waves Tune LT and it's damned impressive, not to mention cheap. I think it actually handles pitch overshoots from large intervals much better than Melodyne does. It's only $64 right now, and probably even cheaper at Waves Universe (a legit Waves discount retailer).

Thank you kind sir! Missed all you guys too I can't lie.

I have been on a rather obsessive marketing binge for the last 6 months. Plus a lot of cool things have changed in my life too. Am no longer working a shitty full time job "helping" people fix their brains. It just wasn't for me and I was getting very depressed going into work everyday listening to people complain about their lives. Day after day after day I just realized I couldn't deal with the negativity anymore. So I wound up starting my own business 6 months ago and absolutey love it!

So right now I must admit I'm probaly happier than you've ever seen me in my life. In fact I was so stressed out in the past thats why I wound up leaving the forums. It was all about money, I didn't like what I was doing, and had no motivation to make it big in psychology. Since getting involved with copywriting/marketing, I definitely feel like I found my true passion in life, and that alone has had a serious impact on my well being.

I'm done taking value from these forums and now I just want to focus on giving value back in w/e way possible. No more andy blueman threads asking how to make my bass enormously massive. I just don't care anymore. Plus I noticed you wind up accomplishing a lot more when you help people (who want to actually be helped), vs being a parasite and complaining everyday about why you can't make professional music. Should be common sense for the most part but for some reason I wasn't fully grasping that concept before.

Anyways its great to see all you guys still doing your thing, and I'm very happy to be back!

-Robby
