Untitled, finished track - Tech House

Started this track and finished it in pretty much one sitting. This should be happening a lot more now. Enjoy, feedback encouraged.

The kick's low end sounds a bit strange to me. Kind of boxy. I like the creeping chords near the beginning.

The transition effects at 45 seconds are super cool but the don't really lead to anything. I think the lead synth could be improved upon too, it just sounds a little dated to me.

The transition effect for the bassline gets hard panned into the right ear and it sounds a little strange.

Bass sounds alright.

I really like these creepy chords that low pass in and out, they sound really interesting and atmospheric, I wish you elaborated on those more. The bassline starts to sound a lot better once you begin to elaborate on it.

The lead sort of kills the groove of the bassline. The bassline is really dancey and powerful but the lead sort of... flops around on top of it.

Half way through the track that lead got phenomenally annoying. I think you have a solid foundation but that sound made me want to punch babies after a while.

Cool, thanks for the feedback. I'll take a look at the lead, I kinda feel the same way. Might not be up to par with the baseline and it's just kinda "there" sometimes. Anyone else have thoughts on what he mentioned or anything else?

It's very good a little boring though. I like some of the darker elements at 1.44

I don't really know where to go from here - kind of cool idea but at the some time is really static and flat if I can say this way (and please don't take this to personally, just my opinion).

Don't even know if you throw some cool but aggressive sounding FX will help you to get some live to it lol - I thing that you will have to intro some more melodic/ different sounding elements and some extra twist to it (like modulations or something like that lol).

So idea is there but how you explore it will be your either success or disappointment, if you know what I mean )

Cheers man,

Darek

Thanks for checking guys. @trance007, yeah man, I agree... I wanted to see what I could get done in one sitting and make it at least 5 minutes long. It was a good challenge. I'm really happy with the mix down and bass synth and production so I can use that for a good foundation.

Damn man, I couldn't get kick done in one (2~3 hrs) sitting - I guess I have to start drinking more again

See ya man,

Darek

Haha well, I think it was about 5 hours. I got up and walked around and ate, too. But I don't really work on music when I drink. It makes it really hard. Smoking, yes. I can go for hours without stopping with some good reefer.
