Anyone on a vegan diet?
I'm trying to cut down my body fat for the summer. Hoping to get down to about 8% or so. Currently at about 10%. Just wondering if anyone is on or has tried a vegan diet and is willing to share their experience and whether or not they think a vegan diet would give me that extra edge. I weight train and do cardio about 4-5 times a week and try to remain in a caloric deficit, but getting into that single digit bf range has been tough. Thanks to anyone willing to share
Weight training, cardio 4/5 times a week, and a vegan diet?
That sounds crazy.
I went vegan for 6 weeks and lost 25 pounds in that timeframe. It's not very sustainable though, unless you're prepared to make every meal yourself. Not too many diners or restaurants have vegan options.
Fuck that shit. I can't live without porkchops, chicken breasts and good ol' T-bones.
Flame on!

You can have carbs, just not for dinner timeish IMO. Your body needs alot of time to properly digest carbohydrates (especially complex sugars) so it can use them in the daily energy tasks. The problem is eating carbs for dinner and closer to bed time, iirc.
I did small portions and 5 meals a day. The timing of these meals might be hard though depending on your schedule. Also, depending on your body and metabolism, the calories per meal will differ. I aimed for 400-500 per meal as I was also exercising during the week and I'm a relatively small person. If you eat 5 small meals a day, you burn fat (edit: meant energy [stored fat is always burned last]) constantly throughout the day since you're metabolism is constantly active.
A vegan diet isn't necessarily a weight-loss diet, nor is it automatically low calorie. You can gain weight on a vegan diet if your portion sizes are too big.
You should just eat healthy and balance calories eaten with calories burned. The basics are the same for everyone.

They just brought back Brock Lesner, so if you haven't turned in, recently, tonight might be good to check on things.

I once had a vegan dinner cooked for me in exchange for giving this dude a ride to Washington. My resultant bowel movement the next day was the cleanest shit I've ever taken. Does that help?

Does not look so bad but why are fats under "eat sparingly" I thought with this diet you would need more fat since you are cutting out meat. Why are the carbs under "eat generously" seems like intuitively I would flip these too around
