did u say MARIJUANA???

ok i know there are many anti-drug people out there but i myself like to enjoy natures gift to us, marijuana....i just read that canada is trying to legalize the consumption of marijuana by adults...OMFG...another damn reason to go back asap...omg, as if aria wasn't incentive enough, now marijuana is also part of the package...jeez, maybe i should just move there...haha...people nice, food good, scenery pleasant, nightlife great and marijuana legal...can anyone tell me how Canada is not tha shiet...
the states should really learn to loosen up and take the anal prod outta their ass...US gov't tries to baby their citizens but in actuality it causes more immature reactions and behavior...we should learn to be more liberal and open-minded, which would result in a more mature and cultured individual...oh well...this just means i must go to canada even more frequently...

ps...do any of u TA regs enjoy canibus as much as i do?? cuz if ya'll do, we should definitely sample each others buds when i visit again...

Posted by milanster on Sep-05-2002 13:46:

wtf? this is exactly what we need! another fucked up type of smoke!

i dunno, but i dont think that any of the montreal TAs are into that shit...hope they dont legalize it as ure saying...im already sick of the stupid smell of weed

Posted by fastmp3 on Sep-05-2002 14:00:

hahaha i hate the smell of weed too , ewwwww

Posted by discojoe on Sep-05-2002 14:45:

I definitely think they should legalize it. I really don't smoke alot and wouldnt smoke any more if it was. I just think banning it causes more trouble than legalization. It will really be interesting seeing the effects on organized crime like they claim. Meh.. no big deal for me either way i guess.

Posted by TheRizzler on Sep-05-2002 17:04:

I don't smoke nearly as much as I used to, now it's not even always a weekly thing for me, but that's beyond the point of why it such be legalized or decriminalized.
- The government can start making money off it, instead of spending so much for no reason, ex: police, jail
- If someone wants to smoke weed, being illegal or not, they will, honestly it's easier to get then alcohol. They stop selling beer at the stores after 11, ever heard the excuse; sorry it's past 11 I can't sell any bud?
- Take an honest look at how many people smoke, and especially in Quebec!
- There's no way in hell that it's nearly as bad as alcohol, look at the stupid shit people so when they get drunk, have no control, someone burns a phats, gets too high, they get burnt out and pass out, don't exactly become agressive torwards other people.

By being legalized.. i'm afraid we'll start to see a lot of people smoking it in clubs.. AND IT WILL SMELL FUCKIN BAD !!!

I hope the party goers in after-hours will respect the precious air in the Main Rooms... unlike in the Hip hop romms

Posted by TheRizzler on Sep-05-2002 17:19:

Hmmmmmm, hate to tell you this, but I don't think it being legal would have any affect on blazing at the after hours. When ever I wanted to spark one, I did, and that goes for everyone else I've ever known, if anything, it's way easier to smoke in the techno rooms, security seems to care more in the hiphop.

Posted by jparknyc on Sep-05-2002 18:45:

yeah i have to agree wit rizzler...every club i've been to has some punks smokin up....actually, the funny thing is i never smoke up at clubs...only after wards...strange...anyhow, the gov't in canada stands to lose more money tryin to prevent the distribution of weed than to just legalize and tax it accordingly...same thing with tha states...our politicians are just babies and realize that they could in fact generate money from weed but since they think that they have to babysit the general masses, we can't handle marijuana...anyhow, until the US gov't learns to respect its citizen with some more responsibility, i think we will be inferior to the rest of the world...pretty sad considering that we are supposedly a super power...

fast and milanster, do u guys realize that i rather smell weed then smell cigarettes which do more harm to u in clubs and closed environments...as a matter of fact, i would rather smell weed than a person's breathe who has been drinking as well...rizzler is right, drugs like alcohol make u more emotional and violent at times...does marijuana do that?...and second hand smoke doesn;t kill u as fast as second hand smoke from cigarettes...[THE TRUTH] those commercials freak me out...cyanide, ammonia, and other chemical crap they put in cigarettes...the scary thing is, cigarettes are already regulated...puahahahaha....scary...

the thing is : IT'S BETTER IF YOU DON'T SMOKE IT AT THE FIRST PLACE , don't you agree ?

i'm not a smoker IMO so i don't care about it being legalized or not just as long as it doesn't bother me

Posted by Mans _wp_ on Sep-06-2002 02:20:

i must agree with you, but im afraid that if its legalized,
we'll start seeing extremist doing stupid things, like blowing their smoke in police officer's face. only to prove that they won.

and then, again, the government will spend money to restrain acces to smokers,

restaurants in canada, 2006:
-how many ?
-3.
-smoking ?
-yes.
-marijuana ?
-no, tobaco.
-humm.. sorry sire, we only have 3 places avaiable in weed section, you will have to wait.

let's hope people learned something with all tobaco problems.

I really dont understand this post. Blowing smoke in officer's faces? You think thats an issue? Yes there will be a rush and some excitement at first but as with anything else, the fad will die. Anyone remember lazer pointers?

Here in ottawa smoking is banned in all public places. Restaurants, clubs, bingo halls.. whatever its banned. I actually think thats the way it should be. And there are more cities heading in this direction too. Either way if weed is too big a problem, its not hard to ban it indoors altogether.

I just HATE HATE HATE people (governments or otherwise) telling me what to do. Don't tell me what's good for me. They are working for us, not the other way around.

Posted by Mans _wp_ on Sep-06-2002 02:50:

i mean that some* canadian who fighted for legalization will act like kids, and will start pissing others... and that, will create another discution. BUT, we have to make the step to this next level. My opinion is: This is good, but canada is not ready.

*by writing SOME, i don't mean you, i don't mean me, i don't mean anybody respectfull.

i hope it clears things up !

Posted by Mans _wp_ on Sep-06-2002 02:53:

oh, and about the restaurant thing, nevermind,
come to montreal and have a launch, youll get the idea.

I mean by that we're gonna see more "Ginos" type of guy smoking this in club to look cool..

you know what I mean ?

Posted by Mans _wp_ on Sep-06-2002 03:30:

lol, of course i know what you mean...

but they will have to decided whats coolest:
-spread oil on their 'hey look im going to a gym' half naked body,
or
-smoking some marijuana. hehe.

*smoking while full of oil is not a good idea - Healt Canada.
http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/

Don't worry about ginos, weed is SOOOOOOOOO outdated !

Posted by fastmp3 on Sep-06-2002 03:36:

haha if weed is outdated , c'est quoi qui est a la mode pour eux maintenant ? :P

Posted by Mans _wp_ on Sep-06-2002 03:50:

humm..

gino:
"j'ai entendu dire que ya une drogue qui est ben + cool que l'extacy, ca s'appele MDMA, c comme de l'extacy, sauf que c + cool, + IN."

...(signing solarcoaster in my head)

Posted by fastmp3 on Sep-06-2002 03:52:

haha nice one you're so coooooooool

Posted by TheRizzler on Sep-06-2002 08:21:

Mans _wp_, sorry my friend, but I have to say, that I don't agree with your opinions on the situation. First off this isn't a little childish thing about smoking weed, that's the whole point, everyone's doing it, including older people, the majority of people that are smoking aren't little high school kids, and as for the people fighting for legalization being little kids.... what are you talking about? There are some serious people out there lobbying for it, full political groups, that's not a little kiddie thing. True there are a lot of punk teenage kids out there, but they'll act stupid for what ever reason they can find, even more so off being drunk, and shit disturbing amongst people. Seriously who would smoke weed in an officers face, not likely to happen, unless you're totally retarded, because legalized weed doesn't mean the end of existents for cops, or taking away there power in society. They're still cops, you do something like that, you'll have consequences to pay, and I think 97% of people must know that.
Look at Amsterdam, I know people that have visited, and people who live there, they both say that Amsterdam is a civilized mannered place. I don't even smoke that much anymore, but weed being outdated..... hehehehe ...... I don't even need to respond to that one!

Posted by Mans _wp_ on Sep-06-2002 18:02:

first of all, about weed being outdated, it was only a joke.

second, i think most of the people are ready for the change, but some are not. And, if crime rate rise of 0.0001%, a lots of people will put the fault on the new law, but that's ok, its normal. all major evolution are that way.

And for the reference of people acting like kids, please note that i wrote : some people,(never said people who wants legalization are acting like kids, or if i did, i didn't mean it!) it may be 97% as you said, but honestly, do you really think the 3% will stay in shadow ?

i really understand your point of view and, like i said before, i really hope the new law will be well accepted.

but that, only time can tell.

Posted by GOYASME on Sep-08-2002 16:59:

hey some people like i and jparknyc really enjoy marijuana every single day. Some hate it and don't use it. Nothing is wrong with both. When a smoker smokes in a club or in someones faces he's a dick. WHen a non-smoker gets in a smokers faace in a area where he is allowed to smoke, the other becomes the dick. We just got to respect what we all enjoy. The real problem comes when weed actually gets in your way and you do less things such as talk or go out. It don't do it for me, so i can enjoy it quite regularly. And the legalizing thing well there are many pros and cons on both sides i think it'll change little for me and my Mari-Jane in the Future.

Just take care of yourselves and enjoy life and trance!
