Why 4 million+ hits in 3 months?
Educate me.
WHy has this got this many hits?
Also innane comments like 'great video'?
Because there is actually an audience that really likes that funky beat. Of course those views and comments could be bought.
because EDM is so inaccessible mostly due to Beatport aiming only for djs that people's only way to search for music which they don't really know how to call it except electro house as that is the buzz word these days is youtube and it ends up with results like this. i'm sure if you search deadmau5, guetta and any other name people would know if you were not really into EDM, would be astronomical. IF anything it just shows huge market with nobody filling the demand.

Mentally I find it overwhelming where to start so I don't really search much, just stumble accross good tracks now and then. Went on to Beatport for the first time in about a month and fuck me is it annoying as a sales platform.
For a start, it's buggy as shit, then there's a the problem searching - for one artist you now get multiple suggestions as it also shows collabs/mixes as separate artists etc. If you're on a laptop you get this giant filter box each time you search which you have to scroll below to see the tracks. Oh and I hate the fact that old tracks which get re-released are listed as most recent and there's fuck all you can do to filter them in true chronology.

Bought Likes - all the rage at the moment :O
The first song reminds me of early Sander van Doorn/Ron van den Beuken...
This looks legit.

edit2: wow, first website is pretty expensive.
He or she dropped a good amount of cash to get it up there, fake views, and a lot of fake comments, but hey, the Internet IS FAKE so why bother.
I find the same with Beatport. I can't find any great tracks. If I do find a few it takes me hours of just listening, page after page, and it's not much fun. You also realise how much shite is on there.
People then just got for the Top 10 in each genre. The prog house ones are just bad pop music.
I noticed someone mentioned SVD tracks in this thread. What has happened to him? his early tracks were fantastic, now he has joined the cheese wagon, very disappointing
