Audiojelly price drop!

I'm pretty sure I've just found enough reason to become an Audiojelly convert. An e-mail I received today:

quote:

"Dear Daniel,

Since launching Audiojelly 5, we have received some great feedback and we are thrilled with the reaction the new store is getting. We are continuing to listen to your feedback and we have many new features and improvements in the pipeline, but today we are announcing something we have been working towards for a while which addresses so many people's concerns in the dance download market as a whole... and that is PRICE!

Audiojelly has always strived to provide the lowest prices amongst our competitors but today we are going one step further and announcing a revolutionary new single price model. We are removing our previous price tiers and replacing them with one amazing price!

ALL tracks from EVERY section of the store in both WAV and MP3 format are now available for just 0.99!! (GBP/EUR/USD)

This means that all new releases and back catalogue will share this one unbeatable price no matter when they are released or what format you choose to buy them in. That's right... you will still be able to choose between lossless 16-bit WAVs and 320kbps MP3s, but there will no longer be a difference in price between the two formats!!

Why are we doing this? Well, we understand the frustrations so many of you are feeling with the cost of buying digital dance music online. Whether you are a DJ or just a dance music lover, we know you demand the very best quality from the files you buy and we feel some stores are exploiting this demand by charging extortionate premiums, subscriptions or upgrade fees - especially when it comes to lossless audio formats such as WAV. We agree that this is wrong, so we have made it our mission to bring the kind of low prices found on many mainstream music stores to the specialist dance market.

Best of all, we will NOT be charging any subscription to access these prices or adding any additional handling fees at checkout. You still get the very best quality audio from your WAV and MP3 files and we will not be modifying these files in any way.

With this big news, Audiojelly now offers unbeatable value compared with other download stores and provides the most affordable way of expanding your music library, and don't forget to spread the word and tell us what you think on Twitter @Audiojelly or on our brand new Facebook page.

Many thanks for your continued support!

This is awesome. I love Beatport's website, but when they're asking 2.49 a track and Audiojelly is now 99c, I really can't find any reason to stick with Beatport.

Wow.. awesome in deed! Hopefully Beatport will follow!

That'll never happen.

However, I went to Audiojelly last night and I must say, just like before, it's loaded with all the good trance tunes coming out. They even have separate Tech Trance and Psy Trance sections now (gave me a boner, being as those are my two favorite flavors). Also, they have updated the layout since I've been there, and the player is really nice. Comparable to the Beatport layout, that's for sure. So it looks like I won't be shopping on Beatport very much more.

This is like a trance DJ wet dream right now.

Me too dude! And since the libraries are full of significantly better music and not as much crap, it seems easier to find some sick tunes.

The don't have dick for techno. Maybe if I get some time (probably not though) I'll see if I can write a little app that goes through your beatport cart and tries to find the tracks on Audiojelly instead.

Thank science for code monkeys. Let me know if you actually succeed!

I found a lot of good techno. Also found stuff in different genres that would be tagged differently somewhere else.

Wooah $1 for WAVs is INSANE!

Only prob is this is gonna take forever to go through all the tracks in my hold bin on Beatport..

Just checked out their site for the first time. They don't have a really great selection to be honest. I just typed the name of some of my favorite producers at the moment to see what they had, and didn't turn up many results.
