yeah how do you do this without drugs. i mean dude the first time i tried to just really calm myself, i couldnt even think and i couldnt feel my body completely.. the music just completely took over me.
and i cant do it now..
so yah, any tips without using drugs...?
yes....red bull......
Perhaps your losing your interest for trance? Maybe it's time for a different kind of music?? I know how you feel though.. When I first used to listen to trance I'd get goosebumps to almost anything.. Now it's only the real hard ones that hit you in the face with a leaf blower..

hehe usually happens after i listen to alot of trance. Ill just chill here, check out some Design, work on some pictures and such, listen to the music. Not thinking about the regualar day to day bullshit is the key. Kinda like when your at the club or a good show, you not thinking about this and that just the music. Or just get a chill winamp plugin and watch it. I dont know of a way to just turn it on or off, just kind of happens. But a dark room, cold drink, and your fav tracks will prob do it. Just me anyway, i like Digital art so i just chill and check it out, kind of gets your mind off things and lets you relax and feel the music. Its all about the music. Actually now that you mention it im getting there lol. hitting up some :: RADIO FG :: right now, more house beats but its riding out nice right now
last few songs played
The sound of violence (Narcotic thrust mix) CASSIUS
P.Y.T ELESSE
People come, people go DAVID GUETTA
Hehe. I think sound has something to do with it. I got a nice computer sound system hooked up, sound quality is great. Think id have trouble getting into the music if it were comming out of some $10 desktop speakers
Ok, here is the absolute key to trancing out to trance without using drugs:
1. Sit near an air conditioner and have it running a little colder then usual
2. Turn out the lights
3. PLAY THE MUSIC LOUD (I mean as high as you can without ear damage) preferably with a bass that rumbles your chest.
4. Clear your mind of all your current problems in life(don't bs me, everyone has problems)
5. Think about happy stuff, so maybe for you, what this track would feel like in a crowded club played by your favorite DJ while everyone is rolling and feeling the same exact vibe as you.
6. Throw your arms in the air and yell at the top of your lungs durring the build up.
7. Dance and Feel the fucking music
8. If all else fails, listen to harder music
Most of these can be done in the car, but you better not loose your concetration on the road. Crashes have happened because of trance before.

When the music is loud enough (big bad bass) I don't need drugs!
Very good stuff here, I listen to trance with headphones as much as possible, especially deep layered stuff ala Sasha because it makes it easier to pick up all the little nuances of the tunes.
For me, trancing out can only happen if you are in that positive frame of mind, so you can just let your troubles go, and experience the rise and the fall of the music to it's fullest, whether it be at home where you can get up and dance your ass off, in a car on a road trip to somewhere new, or wherever else you may find yourself.
That's why I generally only listen to trance when I'm already in a decently good mood, the entire effect of it gets lost in the shuffle if I'm pissed or upset about something.
yeah i think i got it now. cuz like wen i did it those few times before i tryed to think of that and it wouldnt work. it has to just come naturally and then you just get deeper and deepr.
very nice thread indeed.
I too, use headphones... just sounds better
I had gotten this feeling several times before, but after I tranced out state I got myself into today, those sensations were mild.
Today, I was listening to Marc Aurel - Running (Dumonde remix) and the breakdown perfectly matched how I was feeling... it was euphoria. I've been playing with this the rest of the day, and I found the secret is to think of a girl

smoke some weed
I know you said without drugs, but weed + trance = heaven. Sometimes I just smoke a J and listen to trance and I totally get lost in the music. If you don't use weed, I agree with the posts above, very good knowledge. Volume is also important, if you don't have big speakers and a woofer, get a good pair of headphones so you can play it as loud as you need (without ear damage) and you won't annoy other people, especially if you don't live with traceluvers.
Driving and trance is also good, as mentioned above, just don't get in an accident. Cruising quite country roads is the best.
