So far this is what I might be getting for my setup. Opinions

2 Axis 8 Numark Table Top Looping CD Player

I really like the options and effects onthis thing. Plus it cost half as much as one cdj1000 and even cdj1000 doesn't have as much stuff as this numark cd player

For my mixer im getting a decent Pioneer DJM300s costing me around only 350 for this one. It looks good as well as it goes well together in my opinion. also the person in the djdepartment suggested me on getting these for only 1,378 dollars for everything

Oh and for headphones im still deciding on either Senheisers or The Sony MDR 700

Maybe for the mixers I mgiht get RM Three Stanton SIlver 3 channel or PCV175 Vestax 3 channel techno mixer

opinions thanks

?

this is the features on it

Features:

130mm jog wheel with realtime scratching
Key lock (master tempo) up to 100% with key change capability
Built-in beatkeeper with automatic synchronization
Two seamless loops with three hot stutter starts
Twelve advanced beat-synced effects
Adjustable pitch range from +/-6, 12, 25, and up to 100%
User-customizable feature sets
Six-way fader/relay/remote start and stop connections
Up to 48 seconds of anti-shock buffer memory
Recessed rear input panel with digital output
CD transport bay illumination light
CD-R compatible (depending on recording conditions)

Im bothered on what the last line says. CDR compatible depending on recording conditions?????? what does that mean???
Does that mean that this cd player won't read some cdrs

the pioneer dj equip is good, but if you are getting a 300 model, there arent very many options on it for the price you have to pay for it. In my opinion, get a vestax 275 or rane or allen&heath mixer for a decent price with more opinions. The RM3 seems like a good choice too, but i havent used it.

Numark is in no way better then Pioneer... and the way I see Numark having more, it is only more stuff to break and go wrong. Numark doesn't compare to the quality of Pioneer. I am not ragging on you or the fact that you are getting Numarks. Numark is fine, especially for just starting out. Just be a little more careful with what ya say

Sorry man

sorry about saying that about Pioneer. THe more feedbacks the more I learn on what is good and bad out there. I just wish I had the money for two Pioneer CDJ1000. The best I can do is get one CDJ1000 but I still need another cd player so I have two.

any suggestions on what to pair the CDJ1000 to? Maybe CDj100?

I can help with headphones...

What about Sony V6, Sennheiser 280 Pro, or Ultrasone HFI-650 (still untested, but should be best of both worlds), based on budget?

The Axis-8's are a good selection for CD players. They do have more features (4 more affects, master tempo) than the Pro-Scratch 1 and PSX by American DJ which are around the same price. If you have opportunity, try the scratch function and effects on the American DJ compared to the Axis-8 and decide which you like better. The ADJ CD players also have slide in CD which is a nice touch.

For US$350 you can get new PCV-275's from eBay. And even if you may pay more online or at your local DJ store, its definately worth it!
