Cheers mate! I'm heading down to Centrals now.

Hey did anyone ever get the Eyal and Oren Barkan Live at BU radio Israel? Starts of with a sample of Samuel L Jackson from Pulp Fiction??

The mixing is questionable but the i love all the tracks! I love that sound the Israel DJ's like Yahel and Eyal Barkan have! Thats the sort of stuff i'm looking for on vinyl!!

Whatever it is you're looking for, Central Station are certain to help you out. I've found that their Elizabeth Street (Brisvegas) store is one of the best in the country - 8 MK2 listening tables, walls of records and heaps of equipment for sale.

Not meaning to be really blunt but i'm sorry...Centrals in Brisbane are slack and snobby to boot. If you're not in their little DJ buddy group they won't even give you the time of day!!! I placed an order with them 2 months ago and still haven't heard from them, then went in the other day and found 2 of the tracks i ordered sitting in the general shelf.

Oh and only one of the people in there has a clue about trance as everyone in Brisbane is just hard house or tech.

Here is my recommendations. I don't think you can find many of them in any record store. Try the Net!!!! They rather produce single tracks.................................

Darshan
Analog Pussy
Atmos (The Only Process - this Track Rules)
Kayseri
INFECTED MUSHROOM
Green Nuns of the Revolution
Technossomy
Cosmosis
Bally Sago
Narayan
Shiva
Ominus
Voice of Buddah
Multiplex
Atomic Babes
Goa Gil
Bally Sago
Infinity Project

And don't forget to look for
ASTRAL PROJECTION

I LOVE PSY TRANCE!
But where do I buy it in Sydney. I've looked in Central Station but they don't have any Psy trance. If so where do they hide it? Is it just chucked in with the Hard/Trance stuff? I fond that BPM has some good Psy
My favs are Astral Projection and MWNN and Infected Mushroom. awsome stuff.

Tech-Trance >> Oliver Klein

5 Below 0 - Club Quake (Olvier Klein Hard mix)

Hey melbourne guys, would you classify wet musik as tek-trance?
or like...whack-shit?

Posted by fzrr on Sep-10-2002 12:25:

Same i love the psy-trance...Centrals up in Brissy has dick all psy-trance and DanceArena has like 4 records under the heading!!

Yahel - Waves of sound album rocks!! As does Eyal Barkan-Mr Club Trance

tech-trance = MARCO V

Posted by fzrr on Sep-10-2002 12:32:

Also John 00 Flemming and Talla2xlc stand on the tech trance line sorta...at least the last couple sets i got of theirs are.

i would dissagree,it's hard to put him in a genre. marco v plays a bit of everything his productions borderline on the nrg, hard trance with lots of other elements.

Talla2xlc use to be a techno dj as well

Posted by jc on Sep-10-2002 12:50:

marco v's style is one that cannot be pin pointed.. ive tried so hard but he combines everything and thats what makes him so damn brilliant

Posted by webmeister on Sep-10-2002 12:58:

I agreed it's hard to put Marco V into one category, but I think his style is best described as tech-trance...he still plays a lot of trance, but with the dark hard techno sounds as well...

Psy trance is mad! I haven't heard that much unfortunately, but the stuff I have heard is great! I particularly like Astral Projection! I must check out all these other psy artists...

What are the details of this set and where would I be able to download it? Anything with samples from Pulp Fiction in it has to be good!

I don't see the connection between psy trance and tech trance

for psy I'd recommend California Sunshine, Infected Mushroom and Simon Posford

tech trance - LSG, Oliver Lieb, Chris Cowie

My first ever electronic dance CD was Astral projection - Trust in trance. Pretty hard stuff to start off with!

My most memorable track is:

Astral projection - People can fly

because of this spoken line:

"You may think you can fly, but you better not try."

Hehehe they care for their audience.

Remember that line next time you're on acid and tripping out with the psychedelic trance.

I think another classic track is:

Hallucinogen - LSD

I don't think i've ever really heard wet musik... But I've heard/seen Will E Tell and Digby in separate sets... I'd say Will E Tell is techno... I don't know how to classify Digby.

An (early?) psy-trance song which I like is Infected Mushroom - Bust a move. Takes a while to get moving, but when it does, its got a wicked piano line right at the end.

Posted by Hybrid Junkie on Sep-11-2002 03:44:

Bust A Move is awesome
