Howard Stern

Who listens to him?

I fucking love it. Mind you there's no hockey so there's nothing else to listen to on the radio..but for the summer. Howard stern baby.

PoopGate was hilarious. I don't care what anyone thinks about toilet humor, that shit was the best radio i've heard in a long time. Pun intended.

I very much prefer the Opie & Anthony casts with Louis CK.

Louis is such an hilarious gentleman.

not my cup of tea. Have not really listened that much but he seems like a giant misogynist that appeals to lower class alcoholics.

Posted by BTG on Aug-25-2012 04:37:

ya that's pretty much an invalid opinion.

i'm not saying you're an idiot..but i'm just saying it's obvious you don't listen to him.

Posted by Looney4Clooney on Aug-25-2012 04:47:

So you don't think he is a misogynist ?

From what I've heard, he tends to objectify women whether that is how he feels or if he is pandering to is audience I don't know. I get that people that have worked a hard day like the nonsensical banter but It can't help but feel this ride requires a certain intellectual deficit. Lots of people like the shows Charlie sheen does. I don't get it. I can't even beging to understand the mind that would find that appealing. But I would say that I would be in the minority so I don't think how I feel about anything is right or how people should feel about it.

i like him in small doses but hes a little too boxed in with his opinions and he can be a real asshole to some of the guests that dont think like him

He is absolutely not a misogynist. On the contrary, he is a very compassionate guy, concerned with women's rights, gay rights, and freedom of expression. Sure he talks about sex a lot, but most of his conversations with women, and people in general, have to do with exploring their psyche. Don't assume he's a misogynist because you heard it from someone else. That's lazy.

Posted by Looney4Clooney on Aug-25-2012 21:22:

I based it on the female guests he has and how he tends to focus on 1 particular thing as if that is all women or these particular women are good for. Like I said, i don't know if he does it because he knows his audience or he believes it. I do think he is as hard on himself as he is on everyone else. So perhaps I have that part wrong. I just find it really hard not to find him slightly misogynistic when he interviews a female.

I know he has taken certain stances on issues but there seems to some inconsistency on how he claims he views women and how he treats them. I can't know if those inconsistencies are to pander to idiot americans. I don't think it matters. The show tends to show the bad side. So as much as one can say regarding him as a person, his radio persona is all that should matter in rating the show.

Rasta

I absolutely LOVE howard stern. I've been listening for the past 10 years and I haven't missed a single show. Although I may not agree with him on every single opinion, he was the first to make his cast and all those around him part of the "Stern Universe" that was what the basis of the show is. Hell, Howard 100 news I can listen to as a separate show itself.

And he IS America's judge lol!

It's funny that you guys are debating whether or not Stern is a misogynist, meanwhile the Professor of Pimpology comments on his love for the show

Posted by BTG on Aug-26-2012 02:55:

lol.

i've been watching howard stern shows on youtube for months now, getting acquainted with the new and the old. from jackie to post-artie.

the guy is a genius. i feel he has a bad rep where most folk dismiss him on hearing his name, but have no actual concept of what he does.

edit: this is exactly what i am talking about :
