ADHD WIP - any comments would be great!

new version:

Quite rough and direct from the sequencer. ADHD is the idea because this one is supposed to keep evolving and mutating a little to keep the attention of the crowd. It's going ok, but is rough round the edges.

comments greatly appreciated

Cheers

(PS my ears have been fuxed by an infection/flight for the last 4 weeks - only just comming back now!)

Nice to see you again (and your production) man, long time lol - I'm not sure if I'm on the task of giving you any constructive criticism today as I have seriously time consuming project which need to be done early next week so I will cut the crap and go straight to the business lol -> melody is really connecting with me (sweet and warm which plays on my imagination lol - if you know what I mean) -> structurally your WIP is layout properly (up to today's standard) with good arrangement and proper focus on specific instruments/sounds but I feel I'm missing something which interconnect (melodically speaking) this piece together, some sub-melodic elements which will carry over this whole idea along, maybe if you throw some extra FX (like speed tape slows down or anything else) will make that difference, at least for me

Like where you going with this track so far !!!

Cheers mate and glad to see you producing

Darek

cheers matey - I agree about the missing bits - will be working over the weekend and will add a couple more melody elements and fix the fx and stuff

thanks for taking the time to comment mate!

Not as good as your other tracks Toby. I get what your'e going after here, but If you want this relative repetition to keep interest, the sounds and stutters and what not have to be sublime. It's very mid range wooden hall sounding and quite basic mate - sorry this time!.

Cheers Rich -

points taken on board - have refined it a little and added some bits. It still needs work, but would love to know if you guys think it's heading in the right direction:

cheers for taking the time

I left similar comments on Soundcloud. Even in this new version, to me, it feels like it is the opening track by Armin van Buuren for Sensation White 2003 or something. My concern is that this track is very 'epic'--too epic, especially at the beginning--because it sounds old.

Around 4 mins I hear some possible elements to expand on. The more techy lead at 4:21 as well as the piano.

Thanks for the honest feedback Trancelover,

I'm in this quandary about this - It does sound a bit oldschool, but I'm in this zone where I'm just producing what I like the sound of, and I'm a pretty old school trancer at heart it seems - but I do see your point, I'm going to mess with hat bit a little - especially the sound and see what I can do with it, but my main mission at the moment is to not try and sound like anything in particular, especially as trance seems to be going through a bit of a less popular patch at the moment.

Please give me some time to go over your track and get some idea where you going with it - still working on my project (my day to day work) and try to do some family things at the same time (as we have holiday in USA).

Cheer man,

Darek

For a starter could you try something for me, swap this 1:44 and after with 2:41 part -> I would like to see how this will fit together.

I really like this intro and build till 1:44 then after that I would you to explore more this 2:41 part (cool sound on your bass line which is adding some additional attractiveness to this 2:41 and on part of your track). The rest.... we will see after

Cheers man,

Darek

Sounds good to me, I like the way it evolves. Perhaps a subtle vocal element would give it something extra!?

Finally having some time to update these WIPs - it's good fun being at the sequencer again, although I'm easily sidetracked into making new stuff!

TranceLover007 - did what you suggested - think it works man, thanks

=)

Works out good Toby, me like it but I really think that right now a female vocal would greatly benefit this track - let me know and I will hook you up with one lol - so far so good man.

I quite like it - moves the track to the top of the list and reminds me of BBC Sherlock.

can't please all of the people, in fact with trance you are lucky to please 1% of the people =)
